    The Rev. Arthur H. Brubaker, 81, formerly of Mount Joy, died Monday at Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Eva Mae (Melhorn) Brubaker and of Esther K. (Mumma) Brubaker, who died in 1977.
    The service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Shenk's Community Church, 5580 Schoolhouse Road, Elizabethtown. Burial will be in Mastersonville Cemetery. Viewings will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
    The Rev. Brubaker was born July 1, 1913, in Rapho Township, Lancaster County. He was the son of the late John O. and Barbara (Heistand) Brubaker.
    He was elected into the ministry by the Rapho District of the Brethren in Christ Church, and ordained in 1947. He was pastor of Shenk's Church, Elizabethtown, from 1969 until his retirement in 1972.
    Previously, he served as pastor of the Mastersonville and Speedwell Heights churches as well as several churches in Virginia. He also served as Vacation Bible School superintendent for the Rapho district.
    During his years of ministry, he conducted about 100 evangelistic campaigns throughout the United States and Canada. Additionally, he served on the board of directors of Roxbury Camp.
    He owned and operated a farm in Rapho Township and in his retirement, enjoyed working on his wood lot on the farm.
    The Rev. Brubaker also is survived by five sons, Bishop John Arthur Brubaker of Upland, Calif., the Rev. Levi M. Brubaker of Lancaster, H. Kenneth Brubaker of York, James N. Brubaker of Philadelphia, and E. Robert Brubaker of New York City; three daughters, Mary E. Sides, Lanesville, Ind., Ruth E. Hollander of Center Hall, and Joyce E. Heisey of Manheim; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margie Emenheiser of Lancaster.
