    Jeremiah Jackson born Aug. 13th 1739- died March 10th 1802. He was with Gen. Wolfe at Quebec during the Revolution. An Officer in the American Army and at the time of his death Lieut. Col. Of the New York State Militia.

Jeremiah Jackson" "A muster roll of Major John Durkee's Company in the fourth Regiment of Connecticut Troops commanded by Eleazer Fitch Esq. 1759. Jeremiah Jackson, Ser". "In Clark's Onondaga we are told that this pioneer was at the taking of Quebec, under Gen. Wolfe, in 1759."
    Col. Jeremiah Jackson in the struggle for independence, entered the American army with a captains commission, and served with credit to himself and the country through a great part of the war. He had three sons with him. While in the army he made the acquaintance of Major Asa Danforth." "Jeremiah Jackson...and his third son Jeremiah were soldiers in the Continental Army in Capt Nehemiah May's Company in Col John Bliss' Regiment, having enlisted in 1777 from South Brimfield Massachusetts, for a period of 3 years.
