In 1877, she came to America with her parents. On Dec 18, 1888 she married Christian J. Griess at Sutton by Rev. W. J. Bonekemper. To this union, 12 children were born, one son died at age 6 months and also and infant daughter. She was survived by 7 daughters and 3 sons: Mrs. Olga Zimbelman of Grafton, Edgar, Vera, Amalia, Louisa, John, Irene, Hermina, Emma, and Gilbert. Her obiturary can be found in The Sutton News, July 26, 1912 Vol 26. Number 27. Pg One, Column Two.
