Elizabeth ACKERMAN born 15 July 1884 at Rohrbach, Beresan, Odessa, South Russia was the daughter of George ACKERMAN and Elizabeth ZOLLER.
Elizabeth at the age of almost 5 with her parents immigrated to America via the Port of Hamberg, Germany aboard the SS "Augusta Victoria" and arrived at the Port of New York, New York on the 20th of May 1889.
Elizabeth married Jacob G KLEIN on the 6th of February 1905 in Logan County, North Dakota. The couple was blessed with 8 children; Emma E, Lydia M, Albert, Harold, Christina, Edward, Elmer and Reinhold.
After her husband, Jacob's death in 1924, Elizabeth remained on the farmstead in Logan County about 8 miles northwest of Wishek. Her lot in life was not easy when measured by a man's standards.

ALMA — Marge Joan Louise Bandt, 85, of Alma died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society Colonial Villa in Alma.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Good Samaritan Society Colonial Villa in Alma with the Rev. Paul Ferrarone officiating. Inurnment will be later at Alma Cemetery. Cremation was chosen. Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma is in charge of arrangements.
She was born May 4, 1929, in Detroit to Serafino and Angela (DiVito) Marcangelo.
On Nov. 15, 1952, she married Harold L. Bandt. He died in 1991.
Survivors include her children, Jerald of Alma and Penny Rhodig of Republican City; sister, Delores Bandt of Detroit; and two grandchildren.

Local Couple’s Son Car Accident Victim
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Congregational church for Joe Kauffman, 41, who was killed Saturday afternoon in an automobile wreck south of Wiggins. Kauffman, whose home was on a ranch near Keenesburg, was born in McCook, Neb. He moved to Keenesburg 9 ½ years ago from Berthoud.
Mr. Kauffman is survived by his wife, Lydia, and three daughters, Geraldine, Carol and Jane, of Keenesburg; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Kauffman of 1265 Garfield; five sisters, Mrs. John Greenwald and Mrs. George Gottoes of Denver; Mrs. Harold Winters of Toppish, Wash., Mrs. Sam Shaffer of Berthoud, and Mrs. Lyle Shotwell of Laramie, Wyo.; three brothers, Elmer Kauffman of Mead, Raymond Kauffman of Keenesburg and Harold Kauffman of Loveland.
The Rev Will Strauch and the Rev. A. Brenning will officiate at the services with Kibbey Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Lydia K Deines, 78, Fort Collins, died Aug. 1 at her home.
She was born July 26, 1913, in Loveland, to George and Anna Wacker. She married Joe Kauffman on Nov. 28, 1934, in Berthoud. He preceded her in death in 1954. She married Adam Deines on Dec. 19, 1959, in Fort Collins. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1991. She was director of catering at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
She moved to Fort Collins in 1955 from Prospect Valley. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Trinity Lutheran Mary Martha Circle. She was an avid gardener and cook.
She is survived by daughters, Gerri Hockett, Fort Collins, Carol Cassidy, Fruita, and Janie McCartney, Fort Morgan; step-daughters, Loraine Anderson, Eaton, Barbara Witman, Wellington, and Lois Schilling and Judy Cobb, both of Fort Collins; a sister, Clara Greenwalt, Fort Collins; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Johnson and the Rev. John Pederson officiating
Burial will be in Loveland Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Reager Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Reager Funeral Home and Crematory, 1530 Riverside, Fort Collins 80524.

Anna Elizabeth Kauffman, 1668 Poplar street, Denver, formerly of 1265 Garfield, Loveland, died at Mercy hospital Thursday, after an extended illness.
She was born to the union of Martin and Mary Greenwald, April 22, 1889. She was married to George Kauffman Nov 28, 1908, at McCook, Neb.
They moved in 1920 to Berthoud, where they lived for 30 years, then came to Loveland in 1950. The couple lived here until after the death of Mr. Kauffman in 1955. Mrs. Kauffman moved to Denver in 1958.
She was a member of the Congregational church in Loveland.
She is survived by three sons, Elmer and Raymond Kauffman of Keenesburg and Harold of Rosetle, Ill., five daughters, Mrs. John Greenwald and Mrs. George Gatseos of Denver, Mrs. Harold Winters of Toppenish, Wash., Mrs. Sam Schaffer of Grand Junction, and Mrs. Lyle Shotwell of Madress, Ore.; one brother, Conrad Greenwald of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Herrmann of Loveland and Mrs. George Herrmann of Bayard, Neb.; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Violette M. Campbell, 76, Clifton Park, N.Y., were held Monday, April 1, 2002, at Shenendehowa United Methodist Church, Clifton Park. She died March 28 at James A. Eddy Geriatric Center in Troy, N.Y.
Violette was born April 4, 1925 in Wishek, the daughter of Frederick and Martha (Ackerman) Sayler. She graduated from Wishek Public School and Dakota Business College.
Violette was a prominent Capital District Realtor for more than 30 years. She was a founding partner of Homes R Us in Clifton Park, currently known as Prudential Manor Homes. Vi was a member of the Saratoga County Board of Realtors, Greater Capital Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She was a consistent million-dollar producer throughout her career. She served as president of Homes Real Estate, Inc., and later as treasurer. Vi was in charge of sales for Timberwick leagues and the many clients she worked with throughout her career. She was a 25-year member of Shenendehowa United Methodist Church.
Violette is survived by her husband, Dr. Stanley C. Campbell, whom she married on June 12, 1944; her children, Dean H. Campbell and Katie Olson of Clifton Park, Gail C. (David) Peterson of Fallston, Md., Tamara L. (David) Decker of North Wales, Pa.; and Amy R. (Christopher) Dillon of Cayoga Falls, Ohio; three brothers, Edward Sayler and Roland Sayler, both of Wishek, and Larry Sayler of Valley City; six sisters, Leona Aipperspach of Wishek, Eunice Brandt of Peoria, Ariz., Alice McKeever of Anchorage, Alaska, Phyllis Goehring of Peoria, Ardella Moechel of Wishek and Judi Jackson of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonwille, NY 12211. Interment was in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y. Gordon C. Emerick of Clifton Park was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Irene Kathryn Knutson will be held Feb. 21, 2015, at the Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk, with burial in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk. She died Friday, Feb. 13 at Savanna Pines in Lincoln, at the age of 89. Irene Kathryn Knutson, daughter of John and Rose (Pudwill) Scherer, was born on March 12, 1925, in Pollock, South Dakota.She was a graduate of Mobridge, South Dakota High School. Following graduation she took voice lessons at the University of Minnesota. She married Bernard Knutson on April 4, 1948, in Huron, S.D. They had six children: She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Norfolk and The First Baptist Church in Scottsbluff. Irene was an accomplished vocalist singing with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, performing live on the Arthur Godfrey Show at an Aberdeen Radio Station and also singing for many weddings, funerals, and other events. She was also a volunteer at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bernard, one sister, and five brothers.

Margaretha Anderson, 81, of Belt, MT passed away on Friday Oct. 11, 2013 of natural causes at a Peace Hospice facility.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Margaretha Anderson was born in Wishek, ND on April 12, 1932, the first child of Fred and Minnie Gall. She attended Mayville College where she met the love of her life, Harold Anderson.
In 1969, Meg, her husband, Harold and two sons, Steve and Dave moved to Belt, MT from
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where they had been teaching for four years. Harold had accepted a position at the College of Great Falls and Meg soon became the K-4th grade teacher in Raynesford, where she taught for 21 years. Her retirement was brief, as she began subbing in the Belt school systsem which evolved into a ten year stint in Special Ed. After a second retirement she continued to sub in Belt until her illness in December of 2012.
She loved helping kids learn and playing the piano. Among her many interests were the Belt Theater, Library and Museum. She will be missed by many.
Meg is survived by her brothers, Alfred (Carol), Ron (Loretta), Earl (Deanne), Paul (Donna) and Ed (Ginny) Gall; brother-in-law Bob (Aletta) Anderson, Sister-in-law Becky (Allen) Jones; her son, Dave (Trish) Anderson; and grandaughter Tally.
She was preceded in death by her son Steve in 1973 by an accident; and husband Harold Anderson in 2006.
