111815 | www.findagrave.com: Ray F Mileger, 80, Edgar, died last Wednesday at the Mary Lanning Hospital, Hastings, at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 26 days. Services were Friday afternoon at the Urbauer Funeral Home, Edgar, with the Rev Charles Carter officiating. Ray Floyd Mileger was born Jan 5, 1899 at Davenport, the son of August J and Millie Mallery Mileger. Jan 5, 1920, he was married to Blanche Cushing. She died March 9, 1945. Three daughters, Mrs Howard Peterson (Arnita), Mrs Harold Connolly (Ardyth) and Mrs Wayne Johnson (Margaret), were born to this union. He farmed near Edgar until 1964, when he retired and moved into town. May 15, 1946, he married Ethel Karnatz Lindgren at Smith Center. Mileger was a member of the Church of The Plains, Edgar and was a member of the Edgar Lions Club for 20 years. He served twice as president, first for 1959-60 and again in 1968-69. Preceding him in death were his parents and seven brothers and sisters, Oscar O Mileger, Alta E Mileger, Iva Mae Mileger, William W Mileger, Cleo M Mileger, Gerald L Mileger, and Geraldine L Mileger. He is survived by his wife, Ethel; five daughters, Mrs Howard Peterson (Arnita) of Morrill, Neb., Mrs Harold Connolly (Ardyth) of Lincoln, Mrs Wayne Johnson (Margaret) of South Gate, Calif., Mrs Wayne Horner (Cathy) of Edgar and Miss Eileen Lindgren, Omaha; two brothers, Ralph Mileger, Edgar and Harold Mileger, Caldwell, Idaho; four sister, Mrs Alma Smith of Clay Center, Neb., Mrs Edith Ablott of North Hollywood, Calif., Mrs Evelyn Poltz of Prescott, Mich., and Mrs Fae Freud,. Ruth was born on November 25, 1919 in Eustis, Nebraska to Sam & Rebecca (Hermann) Daiss. Ruth graduated from Eustis High School in 1937. In 1940, she moved to Buhl, Idaho to be near family. On June 7, 1941 she married Lawrence Hanson in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Buhl, Idaho, and became a member of the Catholic faith. Lawrence entered into service during World War II, and Ruth lived a year in Dayton, Ohio where he was stationed. After he left for overseas duty, she moved to Ogden, Utah and worked at Western Union as a money loan clerk for two years. Following his discharge in 1945, they moved back to Elwood, Nebraska where they purchased a farm implement dealership. Operating as Hanson Implement, she was the bookkeeper for 17 years. She would also work for the Gosper County ASCS office for 19 years and as secretary for the Elwood High School for 12 years. Ruth was a member of St. John's Catholic Church & St. John's Altar Society of Smithfield, Nebraska, the Alexis Club, and a 64 year member of American Legion Auxiliary where she was the historian for many years. Ruth was preceded in death by: parents, husband Lawrence Hanson, sisters Lurlie Schroeder Jones, & Norma Jean Hicks, & sister-in-law Mayme Hanson. Survivors are : sons Dennis & Malika Hanson of Boulder City, Nevada and Doug & Jackie Hanson of Hickman, Nebraska: 2 Granddaughters; 5 Great Grandchildren; 2 Step Grandchildren; 6 Step-Great Grandchildren; Brother: Al & wife Gladie Daiss; Sister: Ethel DeWalt of Twin Falls, Idaho; Aunt: Gertie Fox of Elwood, Nebraska; Brother-In-Laws: Don & wife Phyllis Hanson of Bertrand, Nebraska; Robert Hanson of Lexington, Nebraska and a host of relatives and friends. She was born November 17, 1957 to Tom Gray and Betty Gray in Brawley, California. In Sue's early years she moved to Quincy, Washington where later she would start her own family. She then moved to Soap Lake where she met and later married William "Bill" Zimbelman. They finally settled in Ephrata where they would establish their family ranch and raise their children. Sue fulfilled her passion of becoming a cosmetologist. Fierce and independent, she managed her own barbershop where she established loyal customers who grew to be lifelong friends. Always the mother, the next phase was even more fulfilling becoming a grandmother. Known as Nana, she never missed the chance to spoil her grandchildren. It was very typical for Nana to introduce all "the firsts": first cereal, first sippy cup, first underwear, and of course the first cowboy boots. Sue is survived by her husband William Zimbelman of Ephrata, WA; parents Betty Littrell of Quincy, WA and Tom and DeDe Gray of Ephrata, WA; daughter Shannon and Stephen Dyer (Kelly, DJ, and Mia) of Kennewick, WA; daughter Shonna and Ernie Allen (Joseph and William) of Aubrey, TX; daughter Brandi and Aaron Wagner (Trenton, Nathan, and Natalie) of Mount Vernon, WA; daughter Mariah Blackburn (Wyatt, Shelby, and Harlee) of Ephrata, WA; and son Paul and Natasha Bennett (Ryan) of Walla Walla, WA. Steven grew up on the family farm where he attended Wolbach Schools and graduated from Wolbach High School in 1975. He worked at the Wolbach Locker during his high school year and then purchased it later. He owned and operated it for many years. He was united in marriage to Jolene Harvey on April 23, 1988, at United Methodist Church in Wolbach. To this marriage there were four boys. Steven lived in St. Paul, and worked at various jobs, the most recent was Hometown Market and Hardcore 4x4 in St. Paul. Some joys in his life were tinkering with cars and guns. He also enjoyed helping his friends and family with their needs, horses, fishing, camping, garage sales, travel, holidays and TV and movies. His most recent joys were his grandsons. Wayne was born Feb. 27, 1936, at Fullerton to Earl and Norma (Zimmerle) Killinger. He was united in marriage to Sue Barr on Nov. 26, 1955, at St. Paul. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Killinger. Survivors are: his wife, Sue of Wolbach; his children and their spouses, Steven Killinger and friend, Jolene, and Kevin Killinger, Cindy and Jason Brummund, all of St. Paul, Alan and Jeanine Killinger, Kurt Killinger, and Dan and Tami Schumacher, all of Wolbach, Larry Killinger of Grand Island; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Colleen Killinger, Gene and Val Killinger, all of St. Paul and Dan Killinger of Omaha and a host of friends and relatives. They lived on the family farm northeast of Wolbach. He attended grade school District 27 Greeley County. After 8th grade he helped his father farm on the family farm. In 1954 he worked in Grand Island for a year. In 1960, Wayne and Sue moved from northeast of Wolbach to southeast of Wolbach and he was engaged in farming. He worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant from 1964 to 1965. He worked for Klein Brothers Garage, Teter's Garage and drove school bus. In 1988, he retired from farming and shortly after retirement he opened Wayne Killinger Welding shop. Due to a stroke in January 1996, he retired and the couple moved into Wolbach on October 1996. Wayne was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wolbach. He also was a member of the Hole in the Roof Muzzleloaders Club of Wolbach. He loved to hunt, fish and Blue Rock Shoot. She was born on November 28th 1926 in Tarutino, Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia. Wilma is survived by her son Dennis, his wife Mary, and grandchildren David (Nadine), Tim, Rick, Joe, and Mieka Giesler. She was predeceased by husband Oscar in August of 2006. Mom and her family fled Bessarabia in 1940 going to Germany where they spent the war years around Bremen. She immigrated with her family to Canada in 1949, first to Alberta before coming to BC in 1951. She married Oscar in 1953. They farmed on Promontory Hill for 40 years. After the herd was moved to the valley, she spent her later years with her two favorite pastimes – grandchildren and gardening. Up to fall of last year she was constantly busy on her yard. Pallbearers will be Tina Klaas, Nicole Nichols, Erin Barr, Tonya Schmidt, Rachelle Howell and Kayla Barr. A Ladies Altar Society rosary was held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 17, at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton. The family received friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery at Tipton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Andrew's Catholic Church or the Ladies Altar Society. Born Feb. 1, 1916, at Tipton, she was the daughter of the late George Knipp Sr. and Gertrude Schmidt Knipp. On Jan. 25, 1938, at Tipton, she married Leo A. Reibenspies, who survives of the home. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton, Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies Altar Society. She lived in the Tipton community all her life and loved to make hangars woven with yarn and quilt blocks. She loved to embroider, play cards, dance and enjoyed traveling. She had a special devotion to the mother of God and St. Jude. She loved her family dearly. Additional survivors include two sons, Terry Reibenspies and wife Dottie of Simi Valley, Calif., and Roland Reibenspies of Tipton; three daughters, Hedy Rackers and husband Al of Columbia, Jane Stratman and husband Glen of Jefferson City and Renee Barr and husband Bob of Marshall; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 4 – 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 at Bismarck Funeral Home. Betty was born November 6, 1941 in Beulah, ND to Sam and Clara (Grossman) Giese. They moved south of Hebron in 1956 and she graduated from Hebron High School in 1960. On June 17, 1960 she married her high school sweetheart, James Linabitz. They moved to Mandan in 1962. She accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior on July 3, 1961. She loved people and did volunteer work for many years. She also collected angels and is now an angel in heaven watching over her family. She is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Pamela (Ron) Rosenau; her very special granddaughter, Nicole and her fiancé', Justin Morel; her sisters, Shirley Klein and Gladys Savageau; nephews, Justin Linabitz, Douglas, Terry & Rick Klein, and Rob Savageau; and niece, Lisa Fried. She was preceded in death by her 9 month old son, Timothy James Linabitz, June 7, 1965 and her parents, Sam & Clara Giese. | Giese, Betty (I159329)
