Excerpted from an article in the Wauneta Breeze:
Orpha Rachel was married by her father, the Reverand J. J. Christner, in a dual ceremony with her sister Ruth Adeline on June 25, 1930, at their home in Sterling, Nebraska. The ladies wedded the men of their choice. Miss Orpha became the wife of Clinton J. Bowersox and Miss Adaline the wife of Victor Schwenk, both well known farmers in the Palisade Section. Ernesta Christner, sister of the brides, sang before the ceremony, and the brides brother Benjamin, sang after the ceremony. After congratulations, a dinner and a reception, the brides left at once for Palisade, where they will establish their homes.
