Emma Louise Sauter was born 5 August 1913 on her parents' farm in Carson Twp, near Carson, ND. to Jakob and Mary (Hintz) Sauter. Her parents were German immigrants from Ukraine. She was confirmed in the German Congregational Church. In 1940 she moved to St. Paul, MN and lived with families doing housework for 34 years, and later for 11 years she worked at the Gillette Hospital. In 1986 she moved to Bethany, OK. She attended Bethany 1st Church of the Nazarene and worked with children in the Sunday School classes. Her hands were never idle and stayed busy helping others. She loved to knit and crochet making gifts for her family for which she will always be remembered. One of her great grandnephews was born on her birthday and a great grandniece was named for her which pleased her greatly. She was a Life member of the American Historical of Germans from Russia. Her parents, her brothers, Robert and Rudy Sauter, sisters Lydia Matthews and Gertrude Scott, and 3 infant siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by her brothers Clarence (Glenna) Sauter of Milaca, MN and Ed (Bev) Sauter of Carson, ND, and her sister Florence (Gus) Sheldon of Portland, OR as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, on Tuesday, Sept 15th at 3:00 pm in the Chapel in the Round. | Sauter, Emma Louise (I157887)

Services were Wednesday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church in Terry. Interment was made in the family plot in Prairie County Cemetery. George Neiffer was born October 10, 1900, in Parkston SD, and moved to Crow Rock south of Terry in 1916 with his parents, where they homesteaded. He married Martha Naasz on December 16, 1928, in Crow Rock. They continued to farm until 1940, when they moved to Terry. In 1942 he started work for the Northern Pacific Railroad, where he worked until his retirement in 1965. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include the widow; a son, Clifford H of Glendive and three daughters, Mrs Violet Kuehn of Terry, Mrs Lorraine Barrett of Billings and Mrs Cecile Certain of Miles City. Also surviving are tow brothers, Emil and Adolph, both of Fairfield; three sisters, Emmile Wahl of Aberdeen SD, Johanna Wahl of Leola SD, and Agnes Ealiet of Eureka SD, and 14 grandchildren. Allen Faul was born on January 29, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN. He was the son of Gustav and Helen (Hiebert) Faul. He grew up on the family farm south of Sawyer and attended rural school there. He graduated from Tabor High School in Hillsboro, KS in 1947. He returned to North Dakota and worked on the farm before going to work in the Wyoming and South Dakota oil patches. Allen married Grace Wahl on May 4, 1952 at the McClusky Mennonite Brethren Church. They spent their first years of marriage working in the oil fields and lived in a small trailer. They moved to a farm east of McClusky where they raised small grains, dairy and beef cattle. He also held a Class B Electrician’s license. Grace died on January 21, 2009. He continued to reside on the farm and had recently been living in the Sheridan Memorial Home in McClusky. Allen was instrumental in organizing the McLean and Sheridan County Rural Water Board which he served on. He served on the McClusky Co-op Elevator Board and was a founding member of the Sheridan County Farm Bureau. Allen was a member of the McClusky Baptist Church and was a member of the Midstate Gideon Camp and Steer, Inc. Allen is survived by two sons: Timothy (Beth), Boa Vista, Brazil; Patrick (Sheila), McClusky, ND; two daughters: Pamela Alexander, Fresno, CA; TyAnn (Bruce) Sinnamon, Bismarck, ND; eleven grandchildren, Victoria and Christina Faul; Kimberly Dean; Chantal, Hannah, Chance and Jewel Faul; James, Dan, Bill and Robert Dean; five great-grandchildren, Emerald Dean and Devon Dean, Skye, River and Ember Dean; three brothers, George of Independence, OR, Donald of Fresno, CA, Curtis of Abbotsford, British Columbia; two sisters, Josephine Griswold of Haysville, KS; cousin, Marlene V. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne of the home; five sons, Craig, Kent and Scott, all of Hays, Niel of Las Vegas, Nev., and Eric of Minot, N.D.; three daughters, Lisa Lang, Cheryl Rohleder and Ann Ryan, all of Hays; his mother, Minnie Rohleder of Hays; a brother, Valerius of Abilene; four sisters, Theresa Von Lintel and Mary Jane Polifka, both of Quinter, Rita Wolf of Hays and Josita Pfannenstiel of Munjor; and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, the Revs. Matthew Gross, Michael Suchnicki and Brad Sterrett officiating. Burial will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday followed by a parish vigil at 7:30 p.m. at Hays Memorial Chapel.
