She was baptized as a child. On September 30, 1902, she married Peter Lehr who preceded her in death in 1950. This marriage was blessed with 9 children. First the family lived near Emery and later near Alpena and lastly in the city. After her husband's death, Mrs. Lehr was nursed by her children Mrs. P. H. Lund and Mrs. E. Mogck. Mr. and Mrs. Lehr were members of the Bethlehem community here in Alpena since 1923. She leaves behind, four sons, Edward (1903-1979), Huron, SD, burial unknown, Herold and John of Alpena and Leonard of Kalamazoo, MI, four daughters, Mrs. Manuel Mogck, Huron, SD, Mrs. W. Dolesche in Alpena, Lucy, Mrs. Leslie Elsworth (1909-1987), Denver, CO, burial unknown and Mrs. P.H. Lund, Alpena, 21 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. One daughter Mrs. Anna Brandenburn, preceded her mother in 1932. He was buried in the Alpena Cemetery. Funeral rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran church. The Rev. O. B. Hussmann will officiate. A family prayer service will be held in the church chapel at 1:15 p.m. (Further funeral arrangements omitted here) Fred Kruse was born November 8, 1882, at Oakville, Ill., the son of John and Wilhelmina (Kamper) Kruse. When he was small, the family came to Merrick County near Archer to farm. He and Miss Christie Washburn were married in 1905 at Worms. They farmed in Merrick County until their retirement in 1942, when they came to Grand Island. Mr. Kruse was a stockman and farmer and spent many years breaking wild horses. Mr. Kruse was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Melvin Kruse of Pico Rivera, Calif., and Percy of Grand Island; two daughters, Mrs. Arnold Klingenberg of Chapman and Mrs. Royal DeCrosta of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, John Kruse of Seattle, Wash; 14 grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. | Kruse, Fred (I140296)

Siebler was born on July 26, 1911, in Shell Creek Township near Platte Center, Nebraska, and killed in action in Germany on December 14, 1944. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Siebler of Platte Center. His mother is deceased. He had four brothers: William Siebler of Omaha, Nebraska; Louis Siebler, formerly of Humphrey, Nebraska; Henry Siebler of Platte Center, Nebraska; and Leo Siebler of Shell Creek Township; and four sisters: Mrs. Alvin Hulsebus of Columbus, Nebraska; Mrs. Theodore Borchers of Columbus, Nebraska; Mrs. John Borchers of Monroe, Nebraska; and Miss Minnie Siebler of Platte Center, Nebraska. Edward attended School District 22 in Shell Creek Township. After finishing grammar school, he assisted his father on the farm until he entered the service of his country in April, 1942. Private First Class Edward A. Siebler was first sent to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and then sent to Camp Barkley, Texas, where he took his basic training. After completing this training, he was transferred to California, where he was given desert training. He then went to Camp Dix, New Jersey, preparatory to embarking for overseas duty. Private First Class Edward Siebler went overseas in March, 1944. He was in the Infantry, and a member of General George S. Patton's Third Army. He had had approximately nine months of overseas service when he was killed in action in Germany on December 14, 1944.
