In 1922 they moved back to the Michael Weisser farm located 15 miles west and one mile south of Wishek and lived there until their retirement from farming in 1958. In Feb of 1959, Edward and his son Jake bought Raile's Standard Service and it became known as Sayler's Standard Service. Peter Kitzmann, age 76, died at 3 o'clovk this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. Pfalzgraff, 623 east twelfth street. He had suffered for several months from kidney trouble, but had been confined to his bed only a few weeks. A native of Russia, he settled in Nebraska in 1894, coming to Loveland in 1903. He was industrious and a good citizen and well throught of in the community. A son, Augustus, died in France while serving his country. Croissant, 78, of Loveland, died Nov. 22, 1998, at his home. He was born Nov. 1, 1922, in Johnstown, to Henry and Pauline Neubauer Croissant. He married Viola C. Gettman on Dec. 12, in Loveland. He was a farmer and cattle feeder on the family farm in Johnstown, where he was born and raised. He retired in 1987. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving 22 months in the Phillippines. He lived in the Loveland Johnstown area all of his life. He was an active member of Loveland First Congregational Church and served on various boards. He also was a member of Colorado Cattle Feeder's Association and past president of Hill and Brush Ditch Co. and Farmer's Ditch Co. He enjoyed farming and cattle and being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Viola C. Croissant of Loveland, two sons, Larry Croissant and wife Jean of Briggsdale and James Croissant and wife Victoria of Loveland; two daughters, Barbara Ullmann and husband Tom of Fort Collins and Sheryl McCoy and husband John of Loveland; his mother, Pauline Croissant of Westminister, Calif.; two sisters, JoAn Smith and husband Dave of Westminister and Orlene Biggert and husband Hank of Mission Viejo, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be at the Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home 8 a.m.--5 p.m. today and Wednesday at the church following the service. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Arthur Orth officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Loveland. She married Gottfried Fachner in Harvey, ND June 2 1914. The couple moved to Lodi in 1920 and after residing here for twenty years, they moved to Elk Grove. Survived by her husband, Gottfried Fachner, daughter Mrs. Freda Warnke of Oakland, granddaughter Beverly Warnke. She was the mother of the late Arthur Fachner, who died as a result of an accident which occurred last Dec. while he was engaged in civilian defense work in Sacramento. She became ill after her son's death and her illness took a sudden turn for the worse a few days ago. She was a past member of the Lodi Baptist Church.
