Born May 28, 1911, in Kendall, N.Y., he was the son of John and Lillian Jeffrey Page. He was employed by Ward Manufacturing in Blossburg for over 30 years until his retirement. In earlier years, he served as police officer for the Blossburg Borough. He was a member of the Holy Child Catholic Church in Mansfield; the Blossburg Knights of Columbus Council No. 2167; and was a life member of the Whispering Pines Cap and Flint Club. He was an excellent marksman. He enjoyed black powder shoots, hunting and fishing. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Margaret, in 1953; and one brother, Raymond, in 1978. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen, at home; four children, Russell Page Jr. and Doris Scheerer, both of Blossburg, Carl Page of Harrisburg and William Page of Mansfield; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Daisy Waight and Lillian Sechrist and Ruth Riley, all of Pine City, N.Y., and Kate Perkowski of Elmira, N.Y.; three brothers, John Page of Horseheads, N.Y., Ken Page of Ithaca, N.Y., and Jim Page of Pine City, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours were held Monday, Oct. 30, at the Zwicharowski Funeral Home, Blossburg, where a vigil service and a Knights of Columbus service were also held. A prayer service was held Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home followed by a mass of Christian burial at Holy Child Catholic Church, Mansfield, with the Rev. Louis Kaminski officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Calvin was born February 7, 1924 in Amarillo, Texas to Charles A. and Tressie Hardin Dipprey. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0169. Calvin married Martha Ridinger on May 24, 1946 in Wichita Falls. Mr. Dipprey was a self-employed plumber. He worked many years with the Boy Scouts of America. He served as assistant scoutmaster for Troop 200 in 1974. Since 1976, he had been commissioner of the North Central Texas Boy Scouts. He received the District Award/Merit of the Silver Beaver in 1977, and the Arrowhead Honor. He was named a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow. He was a member of the Sunrise Optimist Club and the American Red Cross 3 Gallon Club. Survivors include his wife, Martha Dipprey of Wichita Falls; two sons, Larry Dipprey and wife Karen of Lawton, Okla., and John Dipprey of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Lanelle Miliara and her husband Marcus of Jacksonville, Texas; a sister, Vivian Wall and her husband Bobby of Granbury, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Josh Crispin and wife Brandy of Dallas, Scot Crispin of Atlanta, Ga., Joel Crispin of Jacksonville, Texas, Lacy Champagne and husband Michael of Abilene, Jason Dipprey of Oklahoma City, Justin Dipprey of Lawton, Lauren Crispin of Denton, Callie Dipprey of Lawton, Megan Miliara of College Station, Caine Dipprey and Camden Dipprey, both of Wichita Falls, and three great-grandchildren., Carly Crispin, and Carter Crispin , both of Sugarland, Texas, and Madyson Claire Dipprey of Lawton. Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6-7 PM, for visitation. Martha was born May 12, 1924 in Clay County, Texas. Her parents were John and Katarina Mitzel Ridinger, who immigrated from Russia in the early 1900's. They first settled in Nebraska before moving to Texas. They lived in the Hurnville Community, of Clay County, then the Dean Community where they raised a family of 14 children. Martha was the eleventh child. Martha attended school in Dean and graduated from Petrolia High School in 1942. After high school, she graduated from Drauhons Business College. She married Calvin P. Dipprey on May 24, 1946. She worked as his bookkeeper for Dipprey Plumbing from 1954 until her retirement in 1989. They were married for 58 years until his death in 2004. Martha enjoyed and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took great pride and joy in gardening, cooking, and sharing the food. She was an avid stitcher and seamstress. Her favorite stitching projects were needlepoint Christmas stockings and an apple family tree. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Calvin P. Dipprey in 2004; a daughter, Pamela Katherine Dipprey in 1966; seven brothers: Oscar Ridinger, Bill Ridinger, Ferdie Ridinger, Al Ridinger, Herbert Ridinger and twin brothers Victor and Ewald Ridinger; and five sisters: Emma Hardin, Ida Fuhrman, Claudia Bachman, Trudy Ridinger and Ruth Fuhrman. Haase, of Oberlin, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the VA Medical Center at Grand Island, Nebraska. Vernon was born May 15, 1926 at Scotland, South Dakota to John and Hulda (Gemar) Haase. Vernon graduated from Scotland High School with the class of 1944. Vernon attended South Dakota University. In August of 1944, Vernon entered the U.S. Army, where he served in World War II. In 1945, Vernon was united in marriage to Eileen Vilhauer at Scotland, South Dakota. Following his discharge in 1946, Vernon returned to South Dakota where he started Haase Construction. Vernon and Eileen were blessed with 4 children, Gary, Dale, Marian and Rick. Vernon and his family eventually came to live in Omaha and Hebron, Nebraska before moving to Holdrege in the 1970's. It was in Holdrege that Vernon met and married Peggy Alselmo. Vernon would later marry Lois Fisher, and the couple resided in Holdrege, and Rome, Georgia before moving to Oberlin, Kansas in the winter of 2000. Vernon was a gifted carpenter. He loved his trade, and seemed to excel in the areas that required the most skill and patience. He prided himself in his ability to build homes from the ground up, as he was accomplished in plumbing, electrical, and all kinds of finish work. Aside from his trade, Vernon enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family. Vernon was a member of The United Church at Oberlin. Vernon was preceded in death by: parents, 2nd wife, Peggy; and 3rd wife, Lois. Survivors are: sons, Gary Haase of Kona, HI, Dale (Margi) Haase of Milan, Italy, and Rick Haase of Rome, GA; daughter, Marian Haase of Omaha, NE; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, with another on the way; sister, Dorothy Kirschman of Colorado Springs, CO; and special friend, Mary Ann Amack of Oberlin. Jerry was born on April 15, 1956 in Mandan to Peter and Dorothy (Schaff) Boehm. He was reared and educated in Mandan and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years. Jerry married Sheila Pfenning on June 4, 1976 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mandan. They made their home in Hebron where Jerry was employed by the Hebron Brick Company. The family lived in Zap and Kenmare where Jerry was employed by the Ward County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy and Civil Process Server. The family moved to Minot where Jerry was employed as a truck driver for Power Fuels, Ferrell Gas before becoming self employed as an over-the road truck-driver. Sheila died on September 14, 2007. Most recently, Jerry had leased his truck and services to Horizon Resources of Williston. Jerry was a member of the Blind Duck Social Club, Congregational United Church of Christ and enjoyed golfing, motorcycling and working in his spare time. Jerry is survived by his son: Jeremy; grandchildren: Madison and Jenna; siblings: Christ (Maureen) Boehm of Bismarck and Lisa (Glenn) Koble of Mandan; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother: Ronnie Boehm. A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Congregational United Church of Christ - MInot. Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot. Casketbearers will be her grandsons, Jerry Levi, Zeeland, Randy Levi, Hettinger, David Levi and Grant Levi, both of Bismarck, Kevin Levi and Jake Levi, both of Mandan, Scott Erdmann and Ryan Erdmann, both of Barnesville, Minn., and Kelly Erdmann, Moorhead, Minn. Honorary casketbearers will be RaNell Brown and Susan Duval, both of Barnesville, and Darlene Katy, Eureka. Amelia Boschee, the daughter of Adolph and Christina (Krein) Boschee was born March 31, 1905, at Zeeland. She was baptized in her parents' home and confirmed in the Zeeland Reformed Church. She attended Zeeland Public School. For two years she was employed as a clerk at the Farmers Store in Zeeland. She was united in marriage to Jacob M. Levi on Nov. 9, 1922, at Aberdeen, S.D. They lived in Greenway, S.D., for several years; then they moved to a farm northeast of Greenway. In 1936, they moved into Zeeland. Her husband died in 1960. Amelia continued to make Zeeland her home until 1980 when she moved into the Sunrise Apartments in Eureka. She entered the Eureka Health Care Center on Sept. 6, 1995. Amelia enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She taught her skills of these crafts to many others. She also enjoyed being outdoors in her garden. She was a member of Peace Congregational United Church of Christ, Women's Fellowship and taught Sunday school in Greenway until 1966. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir. She then became a member of the Zeeland Reformed Church until moving to Eureka, when she joined St. Paul's United Church of Christ and Women's Fellowship. She was a member of the Zeeland Homemakers Club for 52 years and a 4-H leader for many years. She was named in the Who's Who of North Dakota in 1958. She is survived by two daughters, LaVerne Stuckle, Eureka, and Judith Ann Erdmann, Barnesville, Minn.; one daughter-in-law, Bernese Levi, Zeeland; five brothers, Arthur (Phyl) Boschee, Pequot Lakes, Minn., Eugene Boschee, Minneapolis, Thomas (Idella) Boschee, and Milbert (Arlene) Boschee, both of Zeeland, and Ervin (Viola) Boschee, Sacramento, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Alice passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012, at Sundial Manor in Bristol, SD at the age of 81 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Alice Irene Herrmann was born July 19, 1931, on a farm near Kulm, ND to Otto and Elsie (Schweigert) Herrmann. As a youngster, she grew up there and attended rural schools near Kulm. On October 31, 1949, Alice married Reinhold C. "Reinie" Blumhardt at Fredonia, ND. They farmed in the Fredonia area for a few years before moving to Fargo, ND. In 1964, they moved to Amherst, SD and later to Britton in 1972. After moving to Britton, Alice started working cleaning homes until just a few years ago. In November 1994, Alice and Reinie moved to Langford. Reinie passed away May 17, 2001, and Alice continued to make her home in Langford. Alice was an active member of the Westside Wesleyan Church of Bristol. She also belonged to the Langford Senior Citizens and had served as president the past couple of years. Alice thoroughly enjoyed cooking for her friends and family and was an immaculate housekeeper. Above all else, family was of the utmost importance to Alice. She was an extremely devoted and involved grandmother. Grateful for having shared her life are her five children: Dennis (Ann) Blumhardt of Plainfield, IL; Curtis (Linda) Blumhardt of Fargo, ND; Douglas (Marilyn) Blumhardt of Hermitage, TN; Melody (Keith) Swearingen of Langford, SD; Morris Blumhardt of Wichita, KS; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Florence Radke of Gackle, ND; Melvin (Darlene) Herrmann of Weslaco, TX; and Delano (Joanne) Herrmann of Fargo, ND.
