Interment will follow at the Sutton Cemetery in Sutton, NE. Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, NE. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sutton Community Home in Sutton, NE. Lucille was born north of Sutton at home on July 13, 1927, to Nathan & Wilhelmina (Frank) Griess. She received her education at Sutton Public School graduating in 1944. She married Albert O. Perrien on July 8, 1945, in Salina, KS. She was a teacher with Farmers Valley School, inventory clerk with Harvard AirBase, cook at O’Connell Ranch in California, cook & waitress at Ted’s Café in Sutton, managed the Sutton School Cafeteria for 6 years, bookkeeper at Midwest Irrigation in Henderson for 22 years. She and Al farmed in the Sutton area, loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, loved to cook, bake, sew, crochet, read, play cards and marbles. She was a member of the Federated Church, an active 4 H leader, Sunday school teacher, Ladies Aide at Methodist Church and the Better Homes Homemaker Club. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Anderson of Haslet, TX; son and daughter in law, Stan and Linda Perrien of Sutton, NE; grandsons and wives, Scott and DeAnn Yost of Fountain Hills, AZ; Shane and Cindy Perrien of Elkhorn, NE; Craig and Kathleen Perrien of Elkhorn, NE; Kevin & Tonya Perrien of Sutton, NE; Cody and Liana Perrien of Lincoln, NE; great-grandchildren, Brooke & Erika Yost, Cooper & Slade Perrien, Douglas & Alicia Perrien, Jackson, Dayvie, Garrison, & Kennedy Perrien, and Matteo Perrien; brother, Ken and wife Karren Griess of AZ. His work took him from North Dakota, Artas, Herreid, Watertown, California before returning to Herreid and then, as his health failed, into the Golden LivingCenter in Mobridge. He died at the Golden LivingCenter in Mobridge on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at the age of 92. Edmund, the son of John and Sussana (Wetzel) Trautman, was born April 13, 1914, near Venturia, N.D. He attended a country school and began high school in Ashley, N.D. Life was a struggle in the draught and depression years and Edmund joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). He worked in the Salt Lake City, Utah, area while in the CCC. Later, he returned to Venturia. On Dec. 26, 1937, Edmund was united in marriage to Ada Anna Schauer at the Evangelical United Brethern Church in Artas. They lived in Venturia for a short time and then moved to the family homestead near Artas where they were general farmers for 20 years. They then moved to Herreid for 10 years, where he worked as a farm hand in a milking operation. In 1966, they moved to Madera, Calif., where he worked in a 2,000 head dairy operation until retiring in 1980. They returned to Herreid, where Ada died on March 3, 1982. Edmund was then united in marriage to Mona Goodrich-Bassett on May 16, 1984, in the Eureka United Methodist Church. They made their home in Herreid in the summer and Watertown in the winter. Both entered nursing home care in May of 2002. Mona died Dec. 17, 2002. Edmund had played in the Artas Band in his younger years. Survivors include three sons, Clarence (Judy) Trautman of Pelican Rapids, Minn., LeRoy (Joann) Trautman of Mobridge and Allen (Helen) Trautman of Lincoln, N.D.; two daughters, Sandra (Emil) Matz of Eureka and Arlene Bossert of Mound City; two stepchildren, Marilyn and Robert; one sister-in-law, Frieda Trautman of Eureka; 12 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, numerous step-great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his two wives, his parents, two sons, two daughters and eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services for Edmund were Friday, Feb. 2, at the Eureka United Methodist Church in Eureka were he had been a lifelong member. Casketbearers were Clayton Trautman, Curtis Trautman, Clinton Trautman, Wayne Trautman, Jerry Bossert and Harold Bossert. Burial was in the Artas City Cemetery under the direction of the Carlsen Funeral Home of Eureka. Arlene Remboldt was born April 5, 1940 at the family farm home NE of Gackle, ND, the daughter of Edward C. and Ida (Hehn) Remboldt. She attended school at Gackle and graduated from Gackle High School in 1958. She and Lloyd Veil were married May 20, 1960. They made their home in Lincoln, NE for 4 years, and then moved to Streeter where they made their life together running Streeter Paint and Carpet for 48 years. Arlene was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her 3 children. She loved to help people, always going the extra mile with her energetic personality; Arlene was a friend to many and loved by all. She loved life… to bad there are only 24 hours in a day! Arlene enjoyed feeding the birds, camping, mowing the lawn and “Happy Hour” with friends. However, most important to Arlene was the time she spent with her husband and family. Arlene is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lloyd; three children: Shelly (Gary) Staggs, Brent (J.J.) Veil, Kip Veil; two grandsons and four great grandchildren; one sister, Twilla (Dwight) Wiest; mother-in-law, Frieda Veil; brothers-in-law, Jerome (Jodell) Veil, Randy (Karen) Veil, Jeff (LaVon) Veil, Don Buckmiller, and numerous nephews and nieces. Betty Zimbelman was born April 23, 1927 in Medina, North Dakota the daughter of Edward and Louisa (Moser) Zimbelman. Betty met and married Ralph Elhard on January 17, 1946. They had three children, Jean Heil, Gloria Bitz and Deborah (Larry) Morlock. Betty lover her family and spending time with them. She was a home maker and enjoyed taking care of their three girls. Betty also enjoyed putting together picture puzzles. She was the last of the Zimbelman's in her family. Betty is survived by her three daughters, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters Alda, Loretta, Ester and one brother. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Steve Berntson, officiating. The couple left Dennewitz, South Russia traveling to Hamburg Germany where they boarded the Ship Britania and set sail for New York City, New York. They settled in Pollock, Dakota Territy where Christ worked on autos and tractors. He also did custom threshing, he had four machines such as Wood Brothers, and Case. One of the tractors burned in a fire while threshing corn. His son John and step-son Christ Reich helped with the combining. On Sept. 4, 1922 his wife Katharina died of appendicitis complications leaving Christ with 8 young children. The youngest only 2 weeks old. On Jan. 23, 1923 he married Margarethe Schultz Reich in Aberdeen, South Dakota. In June 1927 the family moved to a farm near Timber Lake, South Dakota. Lynne Marie Keller was born Oct. 13, 1961, in Bismarck, to Gordon and Daphne (Broeckel) Keller. Lynne lived in Bismarck until May 1974, when the family moved to Center. Lynne attended high school in Center, graduating in 1979. Lynne married Dean Pfeifer on July 13, 1990, and lived on the family farm north of Hazen. Lynne worked for Industrial Lube and P&H Minpro while in North Dakota. The couple moved to Wyoming in September 2005, where Dean went to work for Powder River Coal. Lynne is survived by her husband, Dean, Douglas, Wyo.; her daughter, Yvonne, Hemmet, Calif.; her father, Gordon, New Salem; her brothers, Wallace (Becky) and Mark (Michelle), both of Bismarck; her two grandchildren, Kevin and Geoffery; and her half-sister, Patsy Riley, Washington.
