She graduated from Kearney High School in 1944. She and Vern lived in various towns in Wisconsin and Nebraska before moving to Kearney in 1962. She worked at Baldwin Filters in Kearney until she retired in 1991. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kearney. She did volunteer work at the church and for the American Cancer Society. She lived an active life after retirement. She enjoyed walking the mall, shopping, sporting events, family and friends. He was Preceded in Death by his Parents, His Sister Delores Deitrich and his Wife Edith (Webb) Reiswig, Earl Shoulders, Clyde Shoulders. He is Survived by David Lee Shoulders, Dora Jeanette Knudsen, his Grand Daughters Terri Garrison, Jennifer Ham, Shawna Damm, Robin Huff, Grandsons, Lonnie Elliott, Quinten Shoulders and Kyle Shoulders Also many Great Grandchildren. Our Family will find Comfort in knowing he is not in Pain any longer. He will be truly Missed by so many as he was a Great Father, Grandfather and Friend to all. Services will be held at 1 p.m. CST Monday, March 8, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Glen Ullin, with the Rev. Marcy Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Glen Ullin Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. CST Sunday at Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home, Glen Ullin. Oscar Heinle was born Feb. 21, 1932, to William P. and Louise (Sayler) Heinle in Morton County. He grew up on the family farm southwest of Glen Ullin and attended the local country school. After school, he continued to help on the family farm and made his home here. In 1982, Oscar met Helen Slattle, friendship blossomed into love, and they were married on Oct. 13, 1984, in Sidney, Mont. The couple made their home in Glen Ullin. Helen passed away in 1996, and Oscar continued to make Glen Ullin his home. Oscar enjoyed ranching and visiting with friends. He was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Glen Ullin Lions and Dickinson Eagles. In the early '60s, Oscar enjoyed participating in rodeos and always enjoyed riding and having horses. In his later years, he enjoyed watching TV as well as dancing and traveling. Oscar will always be remembered for the love and kindness he showed to his nephews, nieces and close friends. He is survived by a brother, Elmer (Rosemary) Heinle, Mandan; his sister, Isabell Dick, Peoria, Ariz.; his nephews David and Fred; his nieces Peggy, Debbie, Pam, Tammy, Melinda and Chandra; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces and a close friend, Robert (Pat) Johnson, Glen Ullin. She was the sister of Marie Serr of Sutton. Services were held December 24 at the United Methodist Church in Yuma with Evangelist Bernerd Buchanan and the Reverend Samuel Hemphill officiating. Interment was made beside her husband in the Yuma Cemetery. Born February 24, 1903, in Aurora, Illinois, she was the second of the 13 children of Fred and Anna Marie (Zimbelman) Brandner. After completing the eighth grade in Sutton School, she worked for Dr. Welsh, M.D., until she met Henry Glanz and they were married January 21, 1930, in Clay. In June of 1948, the Glanzes moved to the Lone Star Community in Colorado where they were janitors of the school system there for 18 years. In 1966, they retired and moved to Yuma. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, two brothers, three sisters, one stepson, Gerald, a granddaughter and a great-grandson. Survivors include her stepdaughters, Helen Huntly, and Marie and husband Orville Duden of Hastings; two sons, Joseph Glanz and wife, Marcella, of Yuma, and Ronald Glanz and wife, Cindy of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four brothers and three sisters, Rufus Brandner and wife, Helen, and Fred Brandner and wife, Velma, all of Yuma; Mrs. Serr; Harvey Brandner and wife, Odetta, of Seaford, Delaware; Maurice Brandner and wife, Jean of Millsboro, Delaware; Ruth McGee of Frankford, Delaware; and Seatta Murry of Dagsboro, Delaware; and one sister-in-law, Hellena Brandner of Yuma; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.—Clay County News, Jan. 17, 1991 | Brandner, Edith Elizabeth (I193581)

He passed away at the Yuma District Hospital November 7, 1984 at the age of 89. The Glanz family moved to America in June of 1900 and settled at Gering, Nebraska. Henry and Molly Neiman were united in marriage December 22, 1914. Three children, Helen, Marie, and Gerald were born to this union. Molly’s life was taken in a car accident on December 19, 1928 and their son Gerald was killed in action in New Guinea during World War II. Henry and Edith Brander were united in marriage January 21, 1930 at Clay Center, Nebraska. Two sons, Joseph and Ronald, were born to this union. In 1948 they moved to the Lone Star Community where he faithfully served for 18 years as school custodian. Henry and Edith retired to Yuma, Colorado in 1966. He was a very devout husband and father. Henry is survived by his wife, Edith; daughters Helen Huntley and Marie Duden of Hastings, Nebraska; sons, Joseph of Yuma and Ronald of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; brothers Charles of Portland, Oregon and John of Milford, Nebraska; one sister, Elizabeth DeLono of Portland, Oregon and a host of nieces and nephews and many great friends. Funeral Service was held at the Yuma Presbyterian Church Friday, November 9, 1984 at 1 p.m. with Elder Bernerd Buchanan and Rev. Stuart Cameron officiating. | Glanz, Henry Peter (I193582)
