He was born on August 25, 1921 in Boone, Iowa the son of Gordon and Katherine (Schicker) Lebo. On August 25, 1946, he married Marjorie Wirtz at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Ray was a 1939 graduate of Boone High School. He farmed in Boone County until 1968 before moving to Ames, Iowa where Ray worked in the Vet Med Lab at Iowa State University. In 1992, the couple returned to Boone to make their home and in December of 2006, moved to the Eastern Star Masonic Home. Ray enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Boone for over 75 years; a 50 year member of the Masons Mt. Olive #79 AF&AM; and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star Magi Chapter #139. Ray had been active in Boone County 4-H; served on various County Extension Service Committees and was a past member of the Master Swine Producers of Iowa. His parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and his identical twin brother Roy, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Marjorie of Boone; a daughter Marlene Gustafson and husband Jim of Urbandale, Iowa; a grandson Michael Gustafson of Eagle River, Alaska; a granddaughter Amy deBuhr and husband Brian of Urbandale, Iowa; a great-grandson Benjamin deBuhr; and several nieces and nephews. Born Aug. 8, 1937, in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Harley and Thelma (Holloway) Feidner. He formerly worked at Torx in Rochester for many years. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. Charles enjoyed working on computers. Survivors include his two brothers, David R. Feidner, Rochester; and Marion Feidner, Kewanna; sisters, Lorraine Moore, Smithville, Tenn., Sylvia Hartshorne, Salem, and Ruth McCullough, Dickson, Tenn.; and two half-sisters, Mary Todd, Crawfordsville, and Martha Bryant, Auburn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kurtis Feidner, and half-brother George Feidner. Memorial services are at 1 p.m. April 9 at Living Water Christian Church, Winamac. | 127525 | www.findagrave.com: www.findagrave.com/memorial/91622727/hazel-mae-prinsen Hazel Mae Prinsen was born to William M. and Hazel (Minor) Nihart on May 4, 1924 on a farm in Shaokatan Township of Lincoln County, near Lake Benton, Minnesota. She was raised in various places near Lake Benton where she also attended school. Upon completion of her education, she did housecleaning for others. On July 13, 1941, she was united in marriage to Walter Gitchell Prinsen at the pastor's home in Tyler, Minnesota. Shortly after their marriage, Walter went into the service. While he was in the service, Hazel lived in Florida. After Walter's discharge from the service, they farmed near Lake Benton. During this time, Hazel also worked at Swift and Company in Marshall, Minnesota, Clippers Café and Store in Verdi, Minnesota, the Eagle's Restaurant in Pipestone, Minnesota, and the Senior Center in Pipestone. In 1961, they began farming in Troy Township, north of Pipestone. She worked hard on the farm while also raising their children. In 1978, they purchased an acreage in Troy Township. Walter preceded her in death on August 13, 1988. After his death, Hazel continued to live on the acreage until 1988 when she moved into Pipestone. On Friday, June 8, 2012, she died at the Pipestone County Hospice House at the age of 88 years, one month, and four days. Hazel was a member of Faith Community Church in Pipestone where she helped serve in the kitchen and volunteered her time in the nursery. She enjoyed sewing and made quilts for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and had a beautiful flower garden. She was always an ambitious homemaker and a natural hostess. She made everyone feel at home. She was a great cook, and everyone loved her fried chicken and homemade pies. She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Hazel Hanson and her husband Abe of Bemidji, Minnesota, William Prinsen and his wife Mary of Wyoming, Minnesota, John Prinsen and his wife Martha of Mainz, Germany, Richard Prinsen and his wife Joan of Pipestone, Minnesota, Judy Hartz of Antioch, California, Ed Prinsen and his wife Darla of Aurora, South Dakota, and Jacque Halbersma and her husband Doug of Pipestone, Minnesota; 25 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Marlin Nihart and his wife Ruth of Huron, South Dakota; and three sisters, Louise Mortland of Arco, Minnesota, Lucille Strom of Woodstock, Minnesota, and Maryln Wittrock of Pipestone, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Prinsen; her son, Arthur Prinsen; her daughter, Faye Aardema; her great-grandchildren, Evan Fluit and Maggie Grace Prinsen; her parents; three brothers, Earl Nihart, True Nihart, and Stacy Nihart; one sister, Irene Hind; and three sons-in-law, Lowell Rundell, Stan Aardema and Bob Hartz. | Nihart, Hazel Mae (I183527)

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 801 E. Denver Ave., Bismarck, with the Rev. Lester Wolfgram officiating. Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the McClusky Cemetery. Visitation will be held a half hour prior to the service at the church. Hilda was born on Jan. 7, 1919, in McClusky, the daughter of Dennis and Helen (Sauchenko) Dasenko. She was raised and attended school near McClusky. Hilda married Edwin Braunberger in 1935 at St. John's Lutheran Church in McClusky. They made their home in McClusky. Edwin passed away in 1955. Hilda married Reinhold Reiswig in 1961, and in 1980, they moved to Bismarck. Reinhold passed away in 1991. Hilda owned and operated R & H Motel and the M & H Drive-In Restaurant in McClusky. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, McClusky, and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, Bismarck. Hilda is survived by her children, Ardell (Sharon) Braunberger, Chippewa Falls, Wis., Alyce Starck, Bismarck, Ronald (Beverly) Reiswig, Bismarck, and George Reiswig, Florida; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; plus many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one sister, Veona Hanson, Turtle Lake. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Edwin Braunberger, and Reinhold Reiswig; one son, Alan Braunberger; her parents; three brothers, Joe, Dan and Tony Dasenko; and three sisters, Rose Luthelen, Ann Otzel, and Pauline Nurenburg. | Dasenko, Hilda (I201824)

VanOrnam, resident of Long Beach for more than twenty years, passed away Saturday night at 9:40 at his home in Forty-eighth street, Los Angeles. The body is at the undertaking parlor of Edgar McFadyen, in East Third street, where the funeral will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. He leaves three sons, Chester of Long Beach, Ralph of San Luis Obispo and William of Hemet, Riverside County and two daughters, Mrs. Steen of this city and Mrs. Snell of Riverside County. VAN ORNAM. The first representative of the Van Ornam family in the United States was Great-grandfather Van Ornam, who, as may be surmised from the surname, was a native of Holland. Bringing with him all the sturdy qualities for which the Dutch as a nation are noted, he settled in New York state and reared his family amid the trying conditions which always prevail in a new country. A grandson of this immigrant and the father of our subject, Daniel D. Van Ornam, was born in Willsboro, N.Y., where in his early manhood years he followed his trade of mason and builder. From there he later went to Buffalo, that state, and still later to Massachusetts, in both of which places he continued to work at his trade. Some time before his death he removed to the middle west, settling in Davenport, Iowa, and later in Cedar county, that state, where he died when in his fifty-seventh year. As his wife he had chosen Harriet F. Ross, who was born in Massachusetts, the daughter of Peter Ross, the latter born in New York state of English descent. In the latter's family was another daughter, Olive, who became the wife of Mr. Burbank, by whom she has one son, Luther Burbank, who is known the world over as the Wizard of Horticulture. Mrs. Van Ornam survived her husband many years, and passed away at the home of her son Edward in Long Beach September 4, 1906, where she was in her ninety-fifth year. For many years she had been a member of the Methodist Church, and throughout her life she exemplified the teachings of the Christian religion. Of the ten children born to Daniel D. and Harriet F. (Ross) Van Ornam, only two are now living, Edward C.D. and Ferris B., both of Long Beach. Edward C.D. was born in Champlain, N.Y., August 8, 1836 and was reared in Buffalo until six years old, when the family removed to Massachusetts, settling in Worcester. He attended the public schools of that city for a time, but later returned to Buffalo, where he was a pupil in the public schools. By the time he had reached his sixteenth year, he had settled upon definite plans for his future career in the business world. From his father he learned the brick mason's and builder's trade, and in 1854, when the family removed to Davenport, Iowa, he worked side by side with his father in the execution of the many and important contracts which came to them. Among them may be mentioned the Cook & Sargent's marble block, the Episcopal Church of Davenport, besides numerous fine residences. After he followed his trade continuously for about twenty years, he made a change in both occupation and location, in 1870 removing to Cass county, Iowa, where he purchased wild land and started out as a farmer and stock-raiser. His specialty, however, was the raising of fine stock, consisting principally of high-grade Short-horn Durham cattle. During the eleven years which he carried on stock-raising in Cass county, he was fairly successful, but a desire to resume his trade caused him to dispose of his interests there and remove to Lewis, that county. In that city and Omaha, Neb., whither he later removed, he carried on contracting until 1887, during the winter of that year coming to California and visiting many cities in various parts of the state, Long Beach being among the number. He returned to Iowa in the following spring and again took up his trade but the middle states seemed less attractive than formerly and he determined to transfer his interests to the west. Coming to Long Beach in 1893 he at once began to take contracts for building and during the twelve years following erected many of the finest buildings in this city. He has erected a number of residences on his own account and later sold them. Since 1905 he has not been in active business and is now living retired in the enjoyment of the competency accumulated through many years of continued activity. In Durant, Cedar county, Iowa, Mr. Van Ornam married Ann M. Doolittle, born in Wallingford, Conn., her father being Chester Doolittle, well known in that state, where his death occurred. Mrs. Van Ornam died in 1890 in Lewis, Iowa. Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Van Ornam, as follows: Hattie M., the wife of Fred W. Snell, of Buena Park, Cal.; Luther L., who died in early childhood; Bertha F., Mrs. John B. Steen, of Long Beach; William W., also of this city; Edward E., who died when in his twenty-fourth year; Chester D., manager of the San Pedro Lumber Company at Huntington Beach; and Ralph R., who is in the employ of the Nofzinger Lumber Company, Los Angeles. Van Ornam, who had been a resident of Long Beach for thirteen years, died at 12:10 o'clock this afternoon at the family home, 832 East Sixth street, from a stroke of paralysis which she suffered last Saturday. Mrs. Van Ornam would have been 95 years old had she lived until December 19. Before coming to this city she lived in Lewis, Iowa. She was a native of Sterling, Mass. She had been a member of the Methodist church since she was a young girl. Two sons, both of whom live here, survive her, Edward C. and Ferris B. Van Ornam. Three grandsons and seven granddaughters also live here, another grandson at Huntington Beach and another granddaughter in Iowa. Funeral services will be held Friday. The exact hour has not been set, as yet. Burial will be at Wilmington, where one of Mrs. Van Ornam's grandsons is buried. From the Lewis Standard (Lewis, Iowa) September 13 & 16, 1906: Grandma Van Orman, as she was formerly known here, died at the home of her son, E.C.D. Van Ornam at Long Beach, Cal., Friday, September 7th, and was buried the Sunday following. She moved from here with her son to Long Beach several years ago.
