Martha Heinrich Age 97, of Northfield, received by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 24, 2012, to be with Him forever after serving Him and others faithfully.
Martha Faul, the daughter of Otto and Mary (Dietz) Faul was born on July 2, 1915 near Fessender, North Dakota. She was united in marriage to Melvin Heinrich on June 20, 1953. Martha assisted her husband with the farm work which was very evident by the way they farmed and the many years they worked the land.
She is survived by brothers Elmer Faul of North Dakota, Lawrence Faul of Michigan and sister Verna Johnson of Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded to New Life in Jesus by husband Melvin and brother Irvin Faul North Dakota. Funeral services will be at the Cornerstone Community Church at 1313 Division St. S., Northfield, Minn. at 11:00, Monday, July 30, 2012. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will take place at the Red Rose Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Cornerstone Community Church.

N.P. Harris was born in Bedford County, Tenn. Dec. 16, 1844 and died Jan. 4, 1912 aged 67 years and 19 days. Came to Benton County with his father's family in 1849; was converted in July 1865 and joined the M.E. Church. He was married to Martha Sykes on Dec. 22, 1870 and to this union were born 8 children, all but one of whom is still living.

Neibch, Edwin Carl, was born near Lewisville, on November 18, 1887, the son of John and Louisa Bintz Neibch. He departed this life at his home, February 1, 1955 at the age of 67 years and two months.

He lived his entire life in the Lewisville community and was a life-long member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church where he was baptized and confirmed in his youth. He also served in the United States Armed Forces in World War I.
On April 16, 1951 he was united in marriage with Mrs. Anna Claus.
He is survived by his wife; four sisters, Mrs. Clarence Weber and Miss Luella Neibch of near Woodsfield; Mrs. Leona LaFollette, of Akron and Mrs. Lydia Bailer[Bailey] of Cleveland; three stepchildren; Alvira Claus, of Barnesville; Floyd Claus, of Salem, Ohio and Bernard Claus of Witchita, Kansas.
All his life Edwin was a hardworking farmer, first on his parent's farm where he lived with his mother and sister and then continuing on his own farm where he lived with his wife. He loved to farm and to tend cattle, to watch things grow and to be in the out-of-doors.
Short services were held in the Bauer and Turner Funeral Chapel on Friday afternoon at one o'clock. Additional services were held at two o'clock in St. John's (Middle Church) Evangelical and Reformed Church. Rev. George Varnes officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Military rites were accorded by Monroe Post 87, American Legion.

Sophie B. Griffith, 91, passed away on July 23, 2009 in hospice care. She was born August 17, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York daughter of John and Anna Prisner. She moved to Denver in 1926 with brother Stan and George (deceased) She attended South High School and Denver University. She met Bill Griffith (deceased 1985), and they were married in Denver on July 17, 1951. She taught full-time in the Denver Public Schools from 1939 to 1954. Sophie was remarried October 1988 to Mr. Estes Braxton Griffith of Lakewood, Colorado. In retirement she became involved in many organizations and activities: Colorado Historical Society, Delta Kappa Gamma, Delta Zeta Sorority, Denver Lyric Opera Guild, P.E.O., bridge club, and world-wide excursions. She was an active member of First Plymouth Congregational Church since 1959. Sophie is survived by her husband; three children: Gary, Sue and John; and 2 grandchildren Katherine and Elizabeth Griffith and 1 step grandchild Steven Pratico.

Frank Drake, mention of whose death appears on another page, was born in Ohio, March 24, 1832. While a boy he moved to Indiana, remaining there until after the Civil War, during which he was enlisted, in the 22nd Ind. Volunteers. On Oct. 16, 1856, he married Mary S. Fitzgerald at Rochester, Fulton County, Indiana. Returning from the war in 1864, he resided in Indiana until 1879, when he started for Oregon, arriving in the Spring of 1880. He first settle in Clackamas County, where he resided until after the death of his wife. After her death he took up his residence with his daughter, Mrs. Richard Kyle, of Cedar Mill, and passed away April 15, 1905. Deceased raised a family of seven daughters. He was a kind and loving father and won the esteem of all who knew him.

Harvey Gibson was in from Eagle Creek yesterday to secure a coffin for Mrs. Gibson's mother, Mrs. Frank Drake who died at 12 m., the night previous. The cause of the death of the deceased was erysipelas. She was 70 years old, and left a husband, Frank Drake, and six children, all grown. The funeral will take place Saturday. Mrs. Drake was held in the highest esteem, and had been a resident of that section for the past 15 years.

Agnes Cornelia of Rush City passed away on August 20, 2012 at Edgewater Assisted Living Center, at the age of 87 years.
Agnes Cornelia Nihart was born to Nick and Catherine Bakken Wiering in Tyler, Minnesota on October 20, 1924.
She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Rush City. She married True Nihart on April 23, 1947. They had four sons: Darrell, Steven, Stewart, and Joseph; and six daughters: Suzanne, Trudy, Elaine, Cynthia, Mary Ann and Jane. True passed away on June 11, 1999.
She is survived by sons: Darrell Nihart of Rush City, Steven Nihart of Rush City, Stewart (Dorothy) Nihart of Grand Rapids, Joseph Nihart of Shakopee; daughters: Suzanne (Kevin) Borgert of St. Joseph, Trudy (Chuck) Petersen of Rush City, Elaine (Mike) Robinson of Rush City, Cynthia (Guy) Miller of Coon Rapids, Mary Ann (Mike) Juergens of Cold Spring, Jane (Brian) Johnson of Rush City, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, brothers: Nick Wiering of Paynesville, Clarence Wiering of Tyler, Earl Wiering of Marshall; sisters: Helen Petersen of Tyler, Dorothy Gockowski of Shoreview, Beverly Wambeke of Cottonwood; specials friends Cindy Sax and Connie Nihart, many other family and friends.
Agnes is preceded in death by her parents Nicholas & Catherine Wiering, husband True Nihart, sister Mary Bontje, and brothers: Arthur Wiering, James Wiering.
Blessed be her memory.
Father Shane Wasinger will officiate at a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday (8/24/12) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Rush City.

Gottfried (Guff) Wolfe passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Progressive Care Center after complications from pneumonia, with his daughter and other family members at his side. He was born in Shields, ND on October 28,1921 to the late Jacob and Marie (Bauer) Wolfe. He attended schools in Shields, ND. He served in the CCC, 791 Lightening Creek Camp in Custer, SD in 1942. On December 10, 1942 he joined the Army at Ft Snelling in Little Falls, MN. He did his Basic Training at Camp Ripley, MN. After Basic Training, he was sent to Santa Rosa, CA for five weeks, then to Abeline, TX for more training, and from there to Camp Kilmore in NJ where he prepared for overseas duty in England. He was a member of the Military Police in the 9th Air Force 671 Bomb Squadron. His tour took him to England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He was in the Normandy Invasion and The Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. He served from November, 1942 thru November, 1945. He received his Honorable Discharge in November, 1945 at West Overfield, MA and then returned to family farming in ND. On October 13,1948 he was united in marriage to Margie (Daarud) in Missoula, MT. Upon returning to ND, he worked for Northern Pacific Railroad 1950 thru 1953. Late in 1953, he moved his family to Sheboygan, Wl and worked at Vollrath Co. until 1969 when a stroke forced his retirement. In 1990, he started working at Wal-Mart doing assembly work and continued through 2005. Guff was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 9156. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and "sitting and watching the world go by". His hobbies were "putzing" - fixing anything and everything, playing cards, shooting pool, and doing crossword puzzles. During earlier years, he enjoyed spending time up north at the cottage that he built with friends. With Margie, her brother and his wife, they enjoyed traveling to 48 of the 50 states. He always said he was "waiting for the bridge to Hawaii to be built", so he could travel there. He is survived by sons, Gary, Townsville, PA, Donald (Bonita), Suffolk, VA, daughters, Rebecca (Larry) Johnson, Bossier, LA, Gloria (Michael) Klein, Sheboygan, WI; grandchildren, Richard Campbell, DeAnna Kennedy, Grapevine, TX, Timothy (Monica) Wolfe, AK, James Wolfe, Sheboygan, WI, and Mickenzie Wolfe, PA, Brian Klein(Claudia), Janesville, WI, Brenda Burns (Jeremy), Centennial, CO, Tesa (Stan) Robinson, Kodiak, AK, Tabitha (David) Mercado, San Antonio, TX.; great grandchildren. Heather Campbell, Shea and Lauren Kennedy, Emily and Ellie Klein, Kaylee, Ashlee and Rhylee Burns, Jacob and Stephanie Robinson, Hannah Baldobino, Levi and Brooke Wolfe, Hannah Miller; his sister, Emma Haider, Mandan, ND; brother, Henry Wolfe, Racine, WI; sisters-in-law, Barbara Daarud, Lincoln, NE, Betty Wolfe, Mandan, ND, Jeanne Dunn, GA, and Jackie Calhoun, FL; brothers-in-law, Richard Daarud, Boulder, CO, and David Daarud, Kirkland, WA, along with many nieces and nephews, especially Kathie and Scott Hilgenberg. A funeral service for Gottfried will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, with Rev. Timothy J. Mech, officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 P.M. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Many thanks to Kathie, Scott, Bonnie and Guy for the hours they spent with dad. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Progressive Care Center for all their care, compassion and concern during his stay.

Leroy A. Claus, age 51, of Lewisville, Ohio, passed away December 5, 1944. He was born March 6, 1893, a son of the late Fred and Caroline Haffner Claus.
He was confirmed at the Evangelical and Reformed Church on December 6, 1906.
On January 1, 1920, he was united in marriage with Anna Kilburn, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kilburn.
Mr. Claus leaves to mourn his sad departure, his wife, two sons and one daughter; T/Sergeant Bernard L. Claus of Geneva, Nebraska, Pfc. Floyd L. Claus, somewhere in France, and Elvira of the home.
The following brothers and sisters also survive: Benjamin Claus of Hornick, Iowa; Gilbert Claus, of Lewisville of Smithland, Iowa; Mrs. Anna Christman, of Lewisville, Route 2, and Mrs. Clara Christman, of Lewisville, Route 2.
Two brothers preceded him in death several years ago.
He also leaves several nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends who will greatly miss him.
Mr. Claus was an employee of the R. J. Haren Lumber Company of Woodsfield, Ohio at the time of his death. He always met his friends with a kind word and a smile which he carried to his grave.
