117001 | www.findagrave.com: www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=171188103 First married to Caroline Pinter on 1 Jan 1916, second married to Laura Hassler on 28 Jan 1922. Joseph and Caroline had twin daughters, Caroline and Mona, born 10 Feb 1918, who were left without a mother when Caroline died the same day of an uncontrollable hemorrhage. Daughter Mona lived with, and was apparently adopted by William and Mary Doll, as a 2015 announcement of her 75th wedding anniversary list her former name as Mona Doll. Daughter Caroline lived with Joseph's parents, Matt and Mary Rett, presumably until 1922 when he remarried. It is assumed, based on photos, that daughter Mona also was living with Joseph and Laura after their marriage. Joseph and Laura Hassler Rett also had two children, Norma and Wilton. | Rett, Joseph M. 117012 | www.findagrave.com: www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=171598419 Marvin Lippert left our lives on Friday, October 14, 2016, in the loving presence of his family, following an 18-month battle with esophageal cancer. He arrived into the world on April 11, 1954, along with his twin sister, Mavis. They joined George and Elsie and four siblings. Before the age of one, the family moved from Gackle, ND, to Washington State, eventually settling in Cashmere. Marvin graduated from Cashmere High School in 1972, spent a short time in the U.S. Army while attending WSU. In 1974, Marvin went to work for Cascade Helicopter in Cashmere. He continued work in the aviation industry until his ill health progressed. Marvin was a friend to everyone, he knew no strangers. Marvin’s acquaintances will always remember his jokes and comical one liners. Trouble shooting was a high trait of Marvin. There wasn’t a problem he couldn’t fix; he was deeply regarded for this, as well as his organizational practices. Missing him are his wife of 36 years, Cheryl; daughter, Megan (David) Anderson; son, Benjamin (Kelsey) Lippert; brother, Harry (Jan) Lippert; sister, Mavis (Bob) Green; sisters-in-law, Janet Lippert and Kathy Lippert; three granddaughters: Marin and Layla Anderson and Alexa Lippert; also survived by his extended family and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Lippert; in-laws, Gordon and Ruth Geyer; sister, Donna Mae Lippert; and brothers, Darrel and Larry Lippert. The family wishes a heartfelt thanks to the caring oncology, radiation, and Hospice team of Confluence Health and Cheryl’s Lab Family. Memorials are suggested to the Cashmere Community Club, Cashmere. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Mission Creek Community Club, 4724 Mission Creek Rd., Cashmere, WA, at 1:00 p.m. You are invited to view his online guestbook at www.HeritageMemorialChapel.com . 117020 | www.findagrave.com: www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=17243981 1899-02-10 - Mount Vernon Hawk-Eye, page 8 On the 1st of Feb. occurred the death of Michael Fackler at the home of his brother Samuel. Brights disease was the cause of his death. The funeral was conducted by W. H. Fackler at the house at one o'clock on Friday. Aunt Sallie Startzer was unable to get to the funeral of her brother Michael on account of a wreck on the railroad at Grand Junction, where she is staying, and no train went east in time for her to get here for the funeral. Michael Fackler, whose death is recorded in these columns, was born in Ohio, June 14th, 1828, and came with his parents to Louisa county, Iowa, in 1852 and shortly after came to Fackler's Grove where they took up a large tract of land and Michael has lived in or near the Grove ever since. He never married therefore never enjoyed the pleasures or bore the burdens of marrying and rearing a family. He lived alone most of the time until about three months ago when on account of failing health he came to live with his brother's family, who tenderly nursed and cared for him. The greater part of the time he had to be helped from one part of the house to another, and altho he was a great sufferer he never complained and until a day or two before his death he had hopes of recovery. He often showed by words and actions that he was grateful to them for what they did for him. In spite of the exceeding cold a large crowd of friends assembled at the home of Samuel Fackler, Sr., to take the last look at all that remained of "uncle Mike," as he was familiarly known. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Fackler express their sincere thanks to the friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted them in the last sad duties to their brother.
