Mrs. A. Fischer Dies at Gackle
Mrs. Albert Fischer, 57, lifelong resident of Gackle community, died Friday evening, August 16th, 1968 at the Gackle Hospital. She had been hospitalized one month following a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 20, 1968 at 2 p.m. in the Grace Baptist Church in Gackle with Rev. Carl Frost, pastor of the Mandan Baptist Church officiating. Rev. R. C. Stading, pastor, and Rev. Kirwin Goodwin, Minneapolis, assisted. Burial was held in the Gackle cemetery. Haut Funeral Home in Gackle was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fischer, the former Tillie Rivinius, was born March 1, 1911, at the family farm home three miles northeast of Gackle in Stutsman County, daughter of John Rivinius and Pauline Remboldt Rivinius. She received her education in the local rural schools.
On December 19, 1941, she Albert Fischer were married in Gackle and they had make their home there since. Mrs. Fischer was a member of the Baptist Church in Gackle.
Survivors includes her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Norbert Homola (Alberta), Brush Prairie, Wash.; four grandchildren; three brothers, Conrad, Rueben, and Lenhardt Rivinius, all of Gackle; and six sisters, Mrs. Rose Frandrich, Wilton; Mrs. Ernest Hehn (Bertha) and Mrs. K. D. Schlittenhard (Katie), both of Gackle; Mrs. A. J. Ketterling (Lydia), Bismarck; Miss Freida Rivinius, Mandan; and Mrs. Kirwin Goodwin (Ida) Minneapolis, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents.
