Following retirement, they moved to Bismarck. Martha was very active in her church teaching Sunday school and directing choir. She served in many civic capacities including treasurer of the city of Steele for 14 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a charter member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
The family of Martha would like to thank everyone who offered condolences and prayers. We especially want to thank the wonderful staff at St. Vincent's Care Center for the loving care they bestowed upon Martha.
