      Mary Margaret Pudwill, 92, Bismarck, died May 31, 2012, at the Baptist Home, Bismarck. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, at Church of Saint Anne, Bismarck, with the Rev. Jason Signalness officiating. Burial will be at Saint Mary's Cemetery.
      Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a Catholic Daughters rosary will be held at 7 p.m. followed by a vigil service. Visitation will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
      Mary Margaret was born on June 26, 1919, in Wagner, S.D., to John Valentine and Mary Belinda (Moran) Wilhelm. She attended school in Parkston, S.D., and Wishek, and graduated from high school in Eureka, S.D. She graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1940 in Mitchell, S.D. Mary Margaret worked at St. John's Hospital in St. Paul, Minn., and Eureka General Hospital in Eureka before her marriage to Leo Dale Pudwill on Jan. 10, 1942, in Leola, S.D. Leo served in the U.S. Army in the European 4th Armored Division. When he returned, they made their home in Bismarck, where Mary Margaret lived since 1943. She was employed at Roen and Straus Clinic for three years and then as night supervisor at the Baptist Home for 20 years.
      Mary Margaret was a member of Church of Saint Anne, Saint Anne's Circle, Catholic Daughters of America Immaculate Conception No. 322 and the Catholic Nurses Association. She enjoyed reading, painting, working word puzzles and creating hand crafts, especially projects requiring crocheting, knitting and embroidery. She crocheted over 250 prayer blankets and continued crocheting while residing at the Baptist Home. She loved her family and had a very warm, special bond with her grandchildren.
      Mary Margaret is survived by two daughters Margaret & Mary. One son Marshall; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean and Patricia and one brother, John.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo, on Oct. 25, 1971; and her stepmother, Julia Wilhelm.
