Jeanette Feldner-----92, Minot, died Saturday, February 21, 2015 in a Minot nursing home.
E. Jeanette Merrill was born on September 17, 1922, a daughter of Currell and Hazel Merrill in Kenmare, ND. She attended grade school in Coulee, ND and graduated from Donnybrook High School. Jeanette furthered her education by attending Minot State Teachers College, where she earned her Standard Teaching Certificate. She then began teaching in the Coulee/Donnybrook area.
On June 18, 1944, Jeanette was united in marriage to Otto Feldner in Donnybrook, ND. They made their home in Donnybrook, where Jeanette continued to teach until 1963, when the family moved to Minot. Jeanette finished her Master Degree in Education in 1967. Jeanette continued teaching at Dakota Elementary School and later Edison, where she would retire in April of 1986. Otto died January 19, 1988. Jeanette continued to live in Minot.
Jeanette was a member of Vincent United Methodist Church, a former member of Donnybrook Methodist Church. She was also a member of MEA and NDEA. Because of her influence within the teaching field, four of her children went on to become educators as well as three daughters-in-law and one grandchild. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher and friend and will be missed by the many lives she touched.

Grandchildren: Sierra (Neal Bashor) Feldner-Shaw, Hannah Feldner-Shaw, Corey Feldner, Shauna (Attila) Downing, Tiffany (Jayme) Calavera, Andy (Lisa) Marum, Jennifer (Will) Moore, Clay Feldner, Grant Feldner, Casey Feldner;
great-grandchildren: Otto Bashor, Erik, Noelle, Tristan Feldner, Amanda and Tyler Kolobakken, Michael Vennes, Leah Calavera, Braden, Ashlyn, Cooper Marum, Taylor, Nathan, Megan Moore; one great-great grandchild Christian Kolobakken; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband Otto, daughter-in-law Linda Feldner, siblings Lewis Merrill, Vesta Voak, Ellen Wood Parson, Neal Merrill.
Visitation: Friday, February 27, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot
Funeral Service: Saturday, February 28, 2015, 1 pm at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot
