Mervin Trautman, 76, of Belton, Mo., passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012. He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in McPherson County, SD, the son of Katharina (Feiock) and Heinrich Trautman. Survivors include wife, Susan Trautman of the home; sons, Brian Trautman, Steve (Kelly) Trautman of Raymore, Mo., and Matthew Trautman of Mission, Kan.; daughter, Kathy (Doug) Gordon of Ethel, Mo.; seven granddaughters and four grandsons; one brother and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a number of siblings. Private family services will be held at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kan. Burial will be in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Worship Hour, PO Box 2002, Aberdeen, SD 57402 or to The National Kidney Foundation, 6405 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS 66202.0.
