Betty went to be with our Lord on December 9, 2012 in Oklahoma City at the St. Anthony Hospital. She was a member of Beaty Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband: Johnny of the home in Pauls Valley. Betty was the oldest of three girls and one brother who is deceased. After high school, Betty joined the U. S. Air Force. She and Johnny met at a basketball game while they both were stationed in Denver, Co. Lowry A.F.B. Johnny said he saw Betty standing on the steps in the basketball gym and thought she was the most beautiful woman he ever saw. Their first date was in January of 1950 and they married on March 4, 1950. They were married sixty-two years, nine months, and five days. Betty enjoyed water skiing, motorcycle vacation trips and motorcycle rallies. She owned and ran the Western Café for about five years. She was a nurses aid for ten years at the Pauls Valley Hospital. She was Johnny's secretary at their motorcycle shop, Rebel Suzuki in Pauls Valley. Betty also loved being with her family. After they were married Betty and Johnny lived in Pauls Valley for thirty-seven years. They moved to Corpus Christi to be a Kawaski Sales Manager. After eleven years, they decided to come home to Pauls Valley in 2001. They built their dream home together on 105 Fields Row.
