Norma H. Bowersox went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 5, 2010, surrounded by those who loved her.
She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Whittier College with a double major in home economics and elementary education. Third grade was her favorite.
She married David F. Bowersox in Pasadena California, and moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico where she then became a homemaker, raising four children. She enjoyed family outings, square dancing, jazzercise, cooking and traveling. She volunteered for the hospital auxiliary. She had a bed and breakfast "Jemez View" in their home for several years.
She and Dave moved to Bellingham in 1999 and then to Lynden to be close to family.
Norma was preceded in death by her mother, Vesta Haynes and older sister, Beverly Cady.
She is survived by her husband, David; son, James (Judy) Bowersox; son Donald (Melodie) Bowersox and their children Justin, Troy, Anthony and Shayne; son, Michael Bowersox; and daughter, Mary (Tim) Pitcher and their children Alyssa and Ryan.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 18, 11 AM at Lynden United Methodist Church, 500 14th Street in Lynden. Memorials in memory of Norma are suggested to: Lynden United Methodist Church, Alzheimer Society of Washington, or Hospice.
