Edith Elisabeth (Brandner) Glanz of Yuma died Friday, December 21, 1990, in the Yuma Life Care where she had been a resident for 13 years. She was the sister of Marie Serr of Sutton.
Services were held December 24 at the United Methodist Church in Yuma with Evangelist Bernerd Buchanan and the Reverend Samuel Hemphill officiating. Interment was made beside her husband in the Yuma Cemetery.
Born February 24, 1903, in Aurora, Illinois, she was the second of the 13 children of Fred and Anna Marie (Zimbelman) Brandner. After completing the eighth grade in Sutton School, she worked for Dr. Welsh, M.D., until she met Henry Glanz and they were married January 21, 1930, in Clay.
In June of 1948, the Glanzes moved to the Lone Star Community in Colorado where they were janitors of the school system there for 18 years. In 1966, they retired and moved to Yuma.
