      obituary Ella B.Place, daughter of Samuel and Sabina Logsdon Place, was born in Des Moines, Iowa. 3-31-1857.She was the last member of her family of four bother and two sisters. Her father died in the Civil War as a soldier. she grew to young womanhood in Missouri and was married to Joseph R.Dally, 8-22-1877 at Trenton, Mo. she and her husband lived in Missouri, Iowa ,Nebraska and Kansas, moving to Blue Rapids in 1892 to this union nine children were born, two having preceded her in death , Charles Dally who died 1906 and F.L. Dally, who died in 1939. those remaining to mourn her passing are Mrs. Amilla Downey, St. Joseph, Mo. Mrs. Mary Myers, Leedale,Canada Mrs. Margaret Padgett, Blue Rapids, Mrs. Nellie Ross, Los Angeles. Califoria, Mrs. Ada Weeks, Hutchinson,Kansas, Albert Dally, St.Francis, Kansas, Joseph R. Dally, Waterloo,Iowa ,Her husband passed away in 1896 leaving the mother to rear the children and to keep the home together. she was always equal to the task and gave herself unreservedly to her family .in 1912 she married Mr. Lafe Myers and lived on a farm southeast of Frankfort for 15 years until 1927. Mr Myers passed away in 1924. Mrs. Myers then lived out west until 2 years ago, when she made her home with her daughter in Blue Rapids.she was a member of the Methodist Church since her marriage in 1877. she was also a member of the Triple Tie Benefit Association, Besides her children she leaves 23 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren besides other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were directed by the Hill undertaking Co. and conducted at the Blue Rapids Methodist Church 3-21-in charge of the misister, Otis Bussart. Music led by Frank Marvin . Singers were Velma Kapitan, Marjorie Reinecke,Hiram Johnston and Delbert Kapitan. Pallbearers were Fooyd Brown, Harvey Hill, Ed Craft, James Shaw,Chas. Jenkins abd Fred Craft. interment was made in Prospect Hill Cemetery
