Mrs. Caroline SHONK, 85, died at 9:25 a.m. today at her home, 317 East 14th street, this city. Death resulted from complications which followed several bone fractures. She had been ill for the past three years. Mrs. Shonk had resided in Rochester for 49 years, coming here from Kewanna. She was born Jan. 6, 1870, southeast of Kewanna. Her parents were Beneville and Mary (MILLER) GUISE. In 1888, at Winamac she was married to William SHONK, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Shonk, who was the last child of a family of 10, was a member of the Rochester Trinity E.U.B. church. Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn SHONK, this city, and Mrs. Verna LACKEY, Whittier, Cal.; one son, Ralph SHONK, Rochester; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Two sons preceded her in death in infancy. Friends may call at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Fremont WILMERT officiating. burial will be in the Kewanna Odd Fellows cemetry. The body will be removed from the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home to the residence at 317 East 14th street late this afternoon where friends may call. Mrs. Shonk had resided in Rochester for 49 years, coming here from Kewanna. She had been ill for the past three years.
