Delores L. Gleason, 87, of Lincoln, formerly of Central City, Nebraska died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Country House in Lincoln. Funeral services will be Monday, November 12, 2018 at Fairview United Methodist Church in Central City at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Lauri Beach officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery in Central City.
Delores was born on November 21, 1930 to Cecil C. and Mildred L. (Suck) Rawlings in Archer, Nebraska.
She grew up in the Archer and Central City area and graduated from Central City High School with the class of 1948. Delores attended Nebraska Central College from 1948-1950 and then worked as a teacher until 1951.
On May 20, 1951, Delores was united in marriage to Gerald M. Gleason. The couple made their home North of Central City and Archer until 1998 when they moved into Central City after retirement. Delores and Gerald made a final move in 2012 to Lincoln to an assisted living community.
Delores was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star #200 and a 70 year member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald of Lincoln, NE; her five daughters, Kathleen and Yurij Holowinsky of Maryville, TN, Donna and Michael Kersjes of Wyoming, MI, Sandra Gleason of Lincoln, NE, Karolee Gleason of Norfolk, NE, and Robin and Tim Pulver of Lincoln, NE; sisters, Leota Baird, Arlene and Wayne Kirk; brothers, John Oren and Janie Rawlings, and Cecil and Pam Rawlings; sisters-in-law, Joyce Rawlings, and Geraldine Kaiser; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lloyd Rawlings, Wendell Rawlings, and Jack and Aileen Rawlings; and brother-in-law, Jack Baird.
