      Linton, N.D. -- Raymond H. Ketterling, 69, of Linton died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at MedCenter One in Bismarck, N.D.
      His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Peace Lutheran Church in Linton. The Rev. Fred Henkelmann will officiate.
      Burial will be in the Linton Cemetery with Myers Funeral Home in Linton in charge of arrangements.
      Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
      Raymond H. Ketterling was born Sept. 19, 1931, to Gottlieb 'G.G.' and Pauline (Sayler) Ketterling in Zeeland, N.D. He was raised and educated in the Zeeland area. He attended rural school. He served in the U.S. National Guard from 1951 to 1952.
      He married Vivian Bader on Sept. 10, 1954, in Wishek, N.D. Following their marriage they lived and farmed nine and one-half miles northeast of Zeeland until 1989. They then moved to Linton. He worked for area farmers, Linton Livestock and at J.T. Ranch. He also helped out area auctioneers. He was a member of the Strasburg District School Board, the National Farmers Organization and the Zion Lutheran Church Council. He was also chairman of Aid Association for Lutherans. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, and working with a skid steer loader.
      Survivors include his wife of Linton; three sons, Bruce (Cindy) Ketterling and Byron (Denise) Ketterling, both of Wishek and David (Traci) Ketterling of Fargo, N.D.; one daughter, Brenda Beckman of Jamestown, N.D.; two brothers, Roland Ketterling of Bismarck, N.D., and Clifton Ketterling of Holdrege, Neb.; one sister, Thelma George of Loveland, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
      He was preceded in death by his parents
