      Information from book "Hebron, ND - Our Heritage 1885-1985" pg 341. Clarence was raised 12 miles SW of Hebron, ND. He and his wife Esther Heinle live on the land which was originally homesteaded by Clarence's great uncle, Henry Schneider.

      Clarence Schneider, 82, Marian Manor Healthcare Center, Glen Ullin and formerly of Hebron, died Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at the Marian Manor. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Hebron, ND with the Reverend David Ling officiating. Burial was in the First Baptist Cemetery, Hebron, ND.
      Clarence was born October 12, 1922 on the family farm southwest of Hebron. He was raised on the farm and educated in country schools. Clarence married Esther Heinle December 5, 1943 at the Antelope Baptist Church. Following their marriage they made their home on his family’s farm. They operated the farm for over 47 years.
      In 1990 they moved into Hebron to enjoy their retirement years. Clarence was active in the church. He served as a Sunday school teacher for over 35 years and served on the cemetery board. He was also a director for the Hebron Fire Protection District. He enjoyed working with wood, reading, making homemade sausage, curing turkeys and going fishing. Clarence entered the Marian Manor in May of 2002. Left to share his memory are his wife Esther, Hebron, ND, four daughters - Melodie (Alfred) Sargent, Hardin, MT; Linda (Alfred) Opdahl, Audubon, MN; Peggy (Clyde) Krebs, Glen Ullin, ND and Sheila (Larry) Hoffland, Missoula, MT and one son - Scott Schneider, Hebron. Clarence has 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He leaves six brothers - Emil, Richardton, ND, Reuben, Dickinson, ND, Reiny in California, Robert in South Dakota, Stanley and Roy both of Hebron. He also leaves six sisters - Anne Metzger, Ronan, MT, Adeline Reichenberg, Hazen, ND, Lorraine Weiser, Shelbyville, TN, Elsie Schneider, Dickinson, ND, Rose Voegele, Bismarck, ND and Helen Larson, Miles City, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Edna Drecksel and Martha Staiger.
