Norman Henry Rauscher was born April 20, 1947, to Gerhardt and Helen (Iszler) Rauscher at Elgin, N.D. He was raised on a farm there and attended school in Elgin. In 1965 the family moved to a farm north of Ipswich. Norman joined his family there until entering the U.S. Army in February of 1966. He was stationed at Ft.
