Nancy Adair first married Harris Tyner. They were the parents of William Tyner, the old Baptist Minister who built Little Cedar Baptist Church south of Brookville. After the death of her first husband, she married Burrell Stevens. She came to Indiana with her children, probably about 1810. She is buried between her twin sons, James and John.
From records of Mary Beth Hughes-Worley: Nancy Jane Adair was born to James Robert Adair(1709) and Ann Ester McBride(1710-1781). She married Harrison 'Harris' Tyner. Their children include: Elijah (1760-1841); Harris (1765-1887); Richard (1770-1836); William Jasper (1771-1854); Mehitabel (1774-1848); E James (1776-?); Margaret (1778-1845); Susanna A (1775-1813); John and James were twins, born 17 August 1776. John died in 1822 and James died in 1823. Another resource file has her married after the death of Harris Tyner to Burrel Stevens. Their known children are Shadrick, Betsy and Susan Stevens. This list may be incomplete. It derives from pedigree resource files. This paragraph came from a descendant of Nancy's daughter Mehitabel (Hettie) who married Richard Kolb. Violet Fern Haupert, 85, a resident of Peabody Retirement Community, died Oct. 29, 1997 at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born Mar. 5, 1912 in Wabash County, IN to George and Lydia (Tyner) Zimpelman, both deceased. She married Ralph Haupert Feb. 6, 1935 in Cass County, IN. and was a lifetime Wabash County resident.
A 1931 graduate of Urbana High School, she at one time worked for Wabash County Farm Bureau. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Urbana, the Women's Guild of the Church, and the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph of North Manchester; a son, Dennis L. Haupert of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Patricia A. McDaniel, also of Fort Wayne; sisters Ruby Zimpelman and Viola Wright, both of Wabash; and five grandchildren. Four brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997 at St. Peters United Church of Christ, Urbana, with Pastor Ken Parsons officiating. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery of Urbana. Grandstaff-Hentgen, Manchester Ave. Chapel of Wabash was in charge of arrangements. Preferred memorials are to St. Peter's United Church of Christ.

Since 2004, she resided in Carmel, Ind. closer to her two daughters. She was a member of P E O Chapter AO, TRI Kappa and the Plymouth Congregational Church. Surviving are her daughters, Lea (Richard) Osborn of Sheridan Ind. and Erin McDaniel (Rick) Gibson of Westfield, Ind.; brother, Dennis (Beverly) Haupert of Fort Wayne; niece, Gretchen Haupert; and nephews, John and Matt Haupert. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Violet Haupert; and husband, Robert F. McDaniel. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 W. Lea Ann Osborn, 56, of Sheridan, Indiana, died at 8:04 pm. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel, Indiana. She was born December 31, 1961 in Fort Wayne, the daughter of Robert and Patricia (née Haupert) McDaniel.
On June 20, 1998 Lea Ann married Richard W. Osborn at the Plymouth Congregational Church in Fort Wayne.
Lea Ann was a graduate of Snider High School, and she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with majors in Finance and Economics from Indiana University in Fort Wayne.
Lea Ann was employed for thirteen years at LHD Retirement Indianapolis, Indiana and was currently serving as Director of Operations.
Lea Ann was an avid reader and she and Rick enjoyed traveling together.
Lea Ann is survived by her husband, Rick Osborn; her sister, Erin Gibson (Rick); her uncle, Dennis Haupert (Beverly); cousins, John Haupert (Heather), Gretchen Haupert (David Sanderman), and Matthew Haupert. Also surviving are father and mother-in-law, Charles and Beverly Osborn, sisters-in-law, Stacey Swanson (Steve), Erin Chater (Ahmed); and two nieces and three nephews, Lily and Jacob Haupert of Scottsdale Arizona, Olivia Swanson of Waterford, Virginia, Charles and Samuel Chater of Orefield, Pennsylvania.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Violet Haupert; and her paternal grandparents Ethel and Roland McDaniel.
