    Edward C. Remboldt, 95, Jamestown, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown.
    Mr. Remboldt was born April 5, 1907, in Griffin Township north of Gackle, N.D., the son of Christ and Carolina (Lang) Remboldt. He attended the local rural school in Alexander Township. He married Ida Hehn on Sept. 18, 1936, in Gackle. They farmed one and a half miles north of Gackle. She died Jan. 1, 1959.
    He moved to Gackle in 1966 and continued to farm and also worked at Gackle Locker. In 1989 he moved into the Gackle Care Center. In 1998 he entered Central Dakota Village, where he lived for a short time before entering Hi-Acres Manor. He was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, served as deacon at the church and served on the township board.
    He is survived by two sons, Clyde (Alice), Jamestown, and Clayton (Twila), Gackle; two daughters, Arlene (Lloyd) Veil, Streeter, N.D., and Twilla (Dwight) Weist, Gackle; a sister, Ruth Netz, Morgan, Utah; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Kevin; and three brothers, Albert, Oscar and Reuben.
    Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Grace Baptist Church, Gackle.
    Visitation: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Haut Funeral Homes, Gackle.

    Clyde Remboldt, 73, Jamestown, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at Ave Marie Village, Jamestown.
    Mr. Remboldt was born April 15, 1937, at the family farm home, north of Gackle, N.D., the son of Edward C. and Ida (Hehn) Remboldt. He graduated from Gackle High School in 1955. He entered the U.S. Navy on May 30, 1955, at the Great Lakes Training Center, Chicago, Ill. He served on an oil tanker and was later transferred to an ice breaker USS Atka G-B-3. He traveled through the Panama Canal to the Arctic North Pole once and to the Arctic South Pole twice. He was discharged May 30, 1959, at Boston, Mass., with the rank of S H 3rd Class. He returned to Gackle and worked for the Gackle Packing Co.
    He married Alice Maier on Aug. 12, 1962, in Streeter, N.D. They lived in Gackle. In 1967, they moved to the family farm north of Gackle. They retired in 1991 and moved to Jamestown. She died May 19, 2009. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Gackle, and the American Legion Mayor-Morlock Post 250, Gackle.
    He is survived by two sons, Shawn (Cody), Lincoln, N.D., and Shay, Hugo, Minn; two sisters, Arlene (Lloyd) Veil, Streeter, and Twilla (Dwight) Wiest, Gackle; a granddaughter; and two special nieces, Debbie (Mike) Zimmerman, Streeter, and Kim (Jon) Hummel, Firestone, Colo.
    He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and two brothers, Kevin and Clayton.
    Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Gackle, with the Rev. Bernie Jasken officiating.
    Prayer service: 7 p.m. Friday, Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown.
    Memorials: Red River Valley Hospice.

    GACKLE - Clayton Remboldt, 69, Gackle, died Sept. 28, 2007, at his home.
    Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Gackle, with the Rev. Russ Pollock officiating. Interment will be in Gackle City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Haut Funeral Home, Gackle, where prayer services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
    Clayton Remboldt was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Griffin township in Stutsman County, northwest of Gackle, the son of Edward Remboldt and Ida (Hehn) Remboldt. He attended Gackle Public School where he received his education. He and Twila Dockter were married July 16, 1960, at Streeter. They made their home in Streeter until 1962. Then they moved to Lincoln, Neb. In 1964 they returned to Streeter where they owned and operated Streeter Bar. In 1966 they moved to Gackle where he was employed at Heier Implement and Gackle Meat Locker.
    In 1970 he started employment with Cooperative Elevator Company of Gackle, and in 1977, he became manager and remained there until his retirement in 2001. The elevator is now known as Gackle Grain Coop after the consolidation of the two elevators in 1990. Following the death of his wife, April 13, 2006, he had continued to reside in Gackle. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle.
    Surviving are three sons, Scott Remboldt, Fairbanks, Alaska, Cordell (Zina) Remboldt, Bismarck, and Chad Remboldt, Lenexa, Kan.; two grandchildren, Cody and Allison, Bismarck; his mother-in-law, Florence Dockter-Heier, Gackle; one brother, Clyde C. (Alice) Remboldt, Jamestown; and two sisters, Arlene (Lloyd) Veil, Streeter, and Twilla (Dwight) Wiest, Gackle.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one brother, Kevin.

    Arlene Jewel Veil, 77, Streeter, ND passed away Thursday May 25, 2017 at the Sanford Health Bismarck, ND.
    Arlene Remboldt was born April 5, 1940 at the family farm home NE of Gackle, ND, the daughter of Edward C. and Ida (Hehn) Remboldt. She attended school at Gackle and graduated from Gackle High School in 1958.
    She and Lloyd Veil were married May 20, 1960. They made their home in Lincoln, NE for 4 years, and then moved to Streeter where they made their life together running Streeter Paint and Carpet for 48 years.
    Arlene was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her 3 children. She loved to help people, always going the extra mile with her energetic personality; Arlene was a friend to many and loved by all. She loved life… to bad there are only 24 hours in a day! Arlene enjoyed feeding the birds, camping, mowing the lawn and “Happy Hour” with friends. However, most important to Arlene was the time she spent with her husband and family.
    Arlene is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lloyd; three children: Shelly (Gary) Staggs, Brent (J.J.) Veil, Kip Veil; two grandsons and four great grandchildren; one sister, Twilla (Dwight) Wiest; mother-in-law, Frieda Veil; brothers-in-law, Jerome (Jodell) Veil, Randy (Karen) Veil, Jeff (LaVon) Veil, Don Buckmiller, and numerous nephews and nieces.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and sister-in-law’s, Clyde and Alice Remboldt, Clayton and Twila Remboldt, Kevin Remboldt, sister-in-law, Irene Buckmiller and father-in-law, Adolph Veil.

    Kevin Kent Remboldt, 9, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed C. Remboldt of rural Gackle, died at Trinity Hospital where he had been a patient for a month.
    Funeral services were held Sunday at the First Congregational Church in Gackle with Elder H. I. Jarnes, pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Jamestown, officiating. Burial was in the Gackle Cemetery.
    Born April 11, 1954, at Gackle, Kevin attended the Gackle public school and was a member of the third grade class. Due to illness, he left school last March 14, and two days later was admitted to the University Hospital in Minneapolis for treatment. After his return from Minneapolis, he entered Trinity Hospital periodically.
    He is survived by his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ed C. Remboldt; two brothers and two sisters, Clyde Remboldt, Gackle; Clayton Remboldt and Mrs. Lloyd Veil (Arlene), Lincoln, Neb.; and Twyla Remboldt, at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Christ Remboldt and Edward Hehn, all of Gackle. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1959.
    The honorary pallbearers were Thomas Tracy, Dwight Erickson, Joel Zenker, Dean Hehn, Myron Suko, and Roy Meyer. Active pallbearers were Tyler Lang, Quentin Schmierer, Roger Maier, and Michael Dockter.
    Out of state relatives attending were the Emil Netz family, Morgan, Utah; Mrs. Elmer Pepple and children, Miss Linda Mann, Mrs. Keith Morlock, of Sioux Falls.

    Scott Remboldt, 55, Gackle, ND died Sunday June 19, 2016 at his home in Gackle.
    Scott was born October 25, 1960 in Jamestown, ND, the son of Clayton and Twila (Dockter) Remboldt. He attended school and graduated from Gackle High School in 1979. He attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton and graduated in 1981. He went to work at Miller Honey Farms. In 1984 he started Remboldt Trucking until 1997 when he went to work at Sunward Trucking. Scott moved to Alaska where he did ice road trucking for a couple of years until moving back to Gackle.
    He is survived by his brothers, Cordell (Zina) Remboldt, Bismarck, ND; Chad (Claudia) Remboldt, Olathe, KS; nephew, Cody, and 3 nieces, Allison, Claire and Chloe; and grandmother, Florence Dockter-Heier, Jamestown, ND.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Memorial Service- 10:30 AM Saturday June 25, 2016 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND with Pastor Rick Steele, officiating.
