    Adam Burbach, a resident of Central City for the past 11 years passed away at Central City, December 18, 1960, at the age of 75 years. The son of Mr. & Mrs. John Burbach, was born at Sutton, NE., June 15, 1885. He received his early education in the rural schools of the Sutton locality. Mr. Burbach was a member of the Second Reformed Church of Sutton. In 1906 he was married to Miss Dora Wahl at Sutton. Following their marriage they resided in the Sutton locality until 1933 when they moved to the Stockham community, living there until 1949. Mr. Burbach is survived by his one son Reuben of Central City and one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Steele of North Hollywood, Cal, four grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other more distant relatives. He was preceded in passing by both of his parents, five brothers, one sister and one son, and his wife. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 20, at Solt chapel. Rev Robert O. McLeod was officiating clergy. Miss Judy Gibson sand "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden". Mrs. Walter Raedke was organist. Pallbearers were E.O. Anderson, Paul Grosshans, Victor Grosshans, Ralph Hensley, Robert J. Jones and Arthur Larson. Interment was in the Sutton Cemetery. (obit) Emmanuel Reformed marriage

    Funeral services for Reuben Adam Burbach were held from the United Presbyterian church Saturday, August 1, at 2 pm with the Rev. A.P.Kidwell officiating. Burial was in the Sutton, Nebr. cemetery. Mrs. Gilbert Barnell and Mrs. Stanley Allen sand "In the Garden" and "Ivory Palaces" with Mrs. Calvin Lepp, organist. Pallbearers were Ray Beacom, Delmond Faeh, Ralph Hensley, Grover Scherff, Arthur Grosshans and Victor Grosshans. Honorary pallbearers were Ed Traver, Lyle Dettman, Harry Boulton, William McLean, Harold Gleason and Glen Pettigrew. Reuben Burbach, son of Adam and Dorothy Burbach, was born on a farm north of Sutton, Nebr., November 9, 1908. He died at the Litzenberg Memorial hospital in Central City Wednesday, July 29 at the age of 55 years, 8 months and 20 days. He grew to manhood living on several farms near Sutton. He attended the Sutton high school. He was confirmed in the First Reformed church in Sutton. June 7, 1939, he was united in marriage with Beatrice Fenske. The first six years of their married life was spent in farming north of Stockham and from there they moved to Aurora. In 1948 they moved to a farm north of Central City. In 1951 he went into the oil business, later establishing the Burbach Oil Co., adjacent to the Night & Day cafe. Mr. Burbach was a member of the United Presbyterian church of Central City and the Knights of Phythias lodge. Besides his wife, Beatrice, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Cantrell of Central City; a son, Paul, at home; and one grandchild, Richard Cantrell; a sister, Mrs. Francis Steele of North Hollywood, Cal; and a host of relative sand friends.     his farm home 5 miles north of Stockham, at 10:30 Tuesday morning. Mr. Burbach had had several attacks of illness last fall but had been quite well this winter until the past few days. He was bothered with adhesions and seemed to have a light attack of flu. He had gone to the doctor's office on Sunday and his sudden death was a great shock to members of his family. The remains were taken to the Koehler Funeral home in Sutton and services will be held Sunday at 2:30 PM from the residence and at 3 pm from the Stockham Presbyterian church, Rev. Sheagley officiating. Surviving are his wife, the former Leola Griess; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Burbach; one brother Ruben of Stockham; and a sister, Mrs. Frances Steele of Alhambra, Calif.
