    Leroy was born on his parent's, Jacob E. and Mary Ann (Cox) Conser's farm in Henderson Township, York County, Nebraska. He later attended high school in Hampton, Nebraska and served in World War I. He married Hazel (Green) Conser after World War I and they later moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma where he ran Conser Hardware and he later served Blackwell as it Mayor in the late 1920s and early 1930s. In the mid-1930s, he returned to Nebraska where he spent the rest of his life on the family farm north of Miller, Nebraska. He was buried just north of his farm in Armada Cemetery, Miller, Nebraska.

    Leroy heiratete Green, Margaret Hazel am 30 Jun 1920.     Jane A. Bish, 84, of Miller, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Funeral Services will be Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Miller United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Fuller officiating. Burial will be at the Armada Cemetery near Miller. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in charge of arrangements.
    Jane Ann (Conser) Bish, 84, or Miller was born May 29, 1928 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Leroy N. and Hazel (Green) Conser and died January 8, 2013. Jane Ann lived her early childhood in Blackwell, Oklahoma and at the age of seven moved with her parents to Kearney, Nebraska in 1935 during the height of the depression. That year, Jane Ann attended elementary school in Kearney and the following year Jane again moved with her parents to Aurora, Nebraska where she attended second grade. In the fall of 1937, Jane moved with her parents to her grandparent Green's family farm located just over one mile northeast of Miller She was then a third grader and completed all of the rest of her public school education in Miller graduating in May 1945.
    After graduation Jane Ann attended the Nebraska State Teachers College in Kearney where she received her certification and the following year she taught at Red Wing School north of Miller. After teaching one year, Jane Ann returned to Kearney the following year for advanced training at the Nebraska State Teachers College. Jane Ann taught school for over twenty years at Giltner, Harrison, Brewster, Amherst, Sumner, and Oconto Public Schools. Jane Ann lived most of her retired years living on the home place near Miller and especially enjoyed the last fifteen years after her son-in-law remodeled a portion of her existing home.
    Jane Ann enjoyed quilts and quilting, collecting stamps, reading, crocheting, spending time with her family and friends and being Grammy to her loving grandchildren.
    She belonged to the Miller United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Methodist Women and HOA Club.
    Jane is survived by four children, Barbara Dickerson of Lubbock, Texas and her husband Chuck, Kathy Swift of Kearney and her husband Pat, Mary Bish of Gardner, Kansas and her husband Terry France, and Jim Bish of Manassas, Virginia and his wife Rebecca along with six grandchildren, Brent and his wife Amanda and Keith Swift, Ashley Dickerson, Aaron and Hannah Bish, and Callie Bish along with two great-grandchildren Clay and Haley Dickerson. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Hazel and an infant son Thomas Leroy.
