Recorder of Deeds, York, Q-244, 7 November 1802, entry refers to a marriage contract with Magdalena Schwartz made 15 February 1791. They had no children together. Upon his death in 1802 Johann Conradt left an estate of 120 acres in York Twp., valued at 175 English pounds. County tax lists also show: 1 dwelling house, 1 barn, 3 horned cattle, 1 horse, 2 sheep.

    Conrad's descendants include a branch lead by Conrad's son, John Conrad Giese III, who moved to Blair County, Pennsylvania in the 1820s and 30s and founded the town of Geeseytown in Frankstown Township. Geeseytown has a modest-sized cemetery and a beautiful Lutheran Church along the main highway through town. David Geeey is in the process of preparing a history of Geeseytown that he will share with us upon completion.

Land along the Juniata River. Z-1 p.162 Bought in 1833 from William Conron 104 a. 94 p. of land for $800. X-1 p.489 Bought 3 acres from Christian Gast in 1833 for $140. C-2 p.594 Bought a sawmill on 1 a. 25 p. land and two lots in Frankstown for $300 in 1842. A-2 p.556 Bought 4 acres along turnpike form Dave Youngkin in 1839 for $275.

    From Altoona Mirror-Facts about Blair. Who was the original progenator of all the Geesey's in Frankstown township? Conrad Geesey came to Blair County from York County during the Revolutionary Period and acquired a farm in Frankstown township. His son Jacob, was a wagon maker and lived in Williamsburg for a number of years. In 1838 he aquired the parental farm at Geeseytown and died there is 1856.
