OBITUARY
The funeral for Beatrice Rau, 84, Wishek was held Friday.. She died Nov. 15, 1993 in Medcenter One, Bismarck.. Interment was in Gluckstal Lutheran Cemetery, rural Tappan.. Beatrice "Beatsie" Reueer was born Dec. 26, 1908 in Kidder County, daughter of John and Magdalena (Schmierer) Reuer and grew up on her parents farm 14 miles south of Tappen. She attended rural elementary school. On Oct. 15, 1929 she was married to August Geist in her parents' home. They farmed 12 miles south of Tappen. Mr. Geist died Nov. 28, 1952. She moved to Napoleon and worked in the laundry department in a Bismarck hospital for a year, then returned to the farm for about a year. On Oct. 15, 1955 she married Edward Walker in her home. The couple lived in Jamestown where she worked at Jamestown College as a painter and later in a motel. Mr. Walker died April 15, 1975. She returned to Napoleon and was employed in a restaurant kitchen. She also did babysitting. Beatrice married Edward Rau April 20, 1985 in Napoleon, where they made their home. They moved to the Wishek Retirement Home Apartments in 1991 and several months later became residents of the Wishek Retirement and Nursing home.. Survivors include her husband Ed Rau, Wishek; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Esther and Rueben Lang, Napoleon; 1 son, Melvin Geist, Napoleon; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; 4 step daughters and 4 step sons-in-law, and 2 step sons and 3 step daughters-in-law..; 3 brothers, Fred (Leona) Reuer and Martin Reuer, all of Bismarck, John (Emeline) Reuer, Steele. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; 1 infant son, Marvin Geist; 1 sister, Lena Job; 2 brothers, Emil and Otto Reuer.

The funeral for Lena Job, 80, Napoleon.. She died Tuesday. Lena Reuer was born April 6, 1910, near Tappen, where she was raised and attended rural school. She married Adolph Job, Sept. 8, 1938, in Streeter. They farmed near Dawson until 1979, when they moved to Napoleon. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Darlene Walth, Wishek; one son, Leroy, Dawson; one sister, Beatrice Rau, Napoleon; four brothers, John, Steele; Otto, Tappen; and Martin and Fred, both of Bismarck; and five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

OBITUARY
STEELE -- John Reuer, 89, Steele, died Aug. 3, 2001, in a Steele care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Steele, with the Rev. Paul Tjostem officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Steele. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eastgate Memorial Chapel, Steele, and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church. John was born June 21, 1912, in Valley Township, Kidder County, to John and Magdalena (Schmeier) Reuer. He was raised and educated in Valley Township, leaving there in 1937. He married Emilea (Eichele) on July 10, 1937, in Napoleon. They lived for three years in Dawson and then moved to their farm near Steele in 1941. He is survived by his wife, Emilea; one brother, Fred; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Job and Beatrice Rau; and three brothers, Emil, Otto and Martin Reuer.

He werved in the US Army from 1941 to 1945 during World War II in the South Pacific. He married Leah Hagel July 3, 1950, in Tappen. They farmed south of Tappen until retiring and moving into Tappen.. He is survived by his wife; 8 sons and 4 daughters-in-law, jack and Lind, Walden, CO, Ronald, Teddy and Randy and Sharlene, all of Jamestown, David and Richard and Peggy, all of Robinson, Melvin and Berdette, Butte, MT, and Arnold, Tappen; two daughters and sins-in-law, Carol and Joey Brunner, Napoleon, and Linda and William Pape, Bismarck; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Emilia, Steele and martin, and Fred and Leona, all of Bismarck; one sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Ed Rau, Wishek; and 12 grandchildren. OBITUARY
Martin Reuer, 78, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, died Nov. 13, 1997, in the nursing home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in Napoleon Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today, at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and for one hour prior to services at the church. Martin was born Nov. 7, 1919, south of Dawson, to John and Magdalena (Schmierer) Reuer. He married Ruth Retzlaff on Dec. 3, 1944, in Napoleon. They farmed south of Dawson until October of 1952, when they moved to Bismarck. Martin enjoyed old time music and dancing. He worked in construction for several years and in 1964, he worked for J.C. Penney Co., retiring in 1982. His wife died in 1975. He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mae and Bill McDonald of Lincoln, Neb., Maxine and Jim Bosch of Bismarck and Clarinda Reuer of Norwich; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tim of Bismarck; and Rob and Tracy of Houston; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Emaline of Steele and Fred and Leona of Bismarck; eight grandchildren, Tammy Bulman, Tracy Carson, Tom and Christopher Reuer, Jennifer and Scott McDonald and Jamie and Heidi Bosch; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, and Emily Carson and Andrew, Jessica and Bailee Bulman. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son; one daughter; two sisters; two brothers; and one daughter-in-law.
