The funeral for Lydia Haas, 97, Portland, Ore., formerly Jamestown, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church, with the Rev. Stanley Teller and Robert Liebelt officiating. Burial will be in Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery, Medina. Visitation will be until 9 p.m. Friday at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, and one hour before services at the church. She died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1992, in Portland. Lydia Harr was born Dec. 29, 1894, in McIntosh County, the daughter of Daniel and Catherine (Mouch) Harr. She moved with her parents to Cleveland when she was six years old. She attended school near Cleveland. She married Emanuel Haas March 20, 1917, in Jamestown. They farmed near Cleveland until 1974, when they retired and moved to Jamestown. He died in 1984. She moved to Boise, Idaho, where she lived with her daughter. She later moved to Portland. She was a member of the Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn Mable and Gus Rosin, Boise, and Lillian and Kenneth Jonietz, Mankato, Minn.; a son and daughter-in-law, Elmer and Van, Gladstone, Ore.; 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Bietz, Lincoln, Neb. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Virgil and Lloyd

Virgil Ervin Haas, 38, Valley Springs Township, died this morning at 4:15 a.m. at Trinity Hospital, having suffered a heart attack Sunday. Mr. Haas was born in Valley Springs Township Dec. 1. 1917. He attend the Valley Springs Township schools and was graduated from the Sheyenne River Academy in 1938. He attended Union College, Lincoln, Neb., for a year, spent a year in Oakland, Calif.k with the United Airlines and in 1941 returned to North Dakota. He enlisted June 6, 1942 in the Air Force Reserve and was discharged July 1943. Mr. Haas and Miss Rachel Fischer were married in Jamestown April 21, 1942. Since 1943 he has farmed in Valley Springs Township. He served on the township school board for several years and at the time of his death was township clerk and was a director of the A.S.C. for his district. He was a member of Medina Seventh-day Adventist church. Surviving are his widow and children, Sandra, Barbara, Judy and Deborah, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Haas, Cleveland; and brothers and sisters, Elmer, Streeter; Mrs. Gus Rosen (Mabel), Spokane, Wash.; and Mrs. Kenneth Jonietz (Lillian), Bismarck

Lloyd Arnold Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Haas, Valley Spring township, died at Trinity hospital Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mr. Haas was born in Valley Spring township October 9, 1921. He attended the rural school, Cleveland high school and the Sheyenne Academy at Harvey. He was engaged in farming. Survivors are his parents; two brothers, Virgil, Oakland, Calif., who arrived Sunday, and Elmer at home; two sisters, Lillian and Mabel at home
