Services for Emilie Finck, 95, of Carson were 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 01, 2008, from the First Assembly of God Church, Elgin, with Pastor Gary Bovkoon officiating.
Emilie Helen Scheerer was born December 02, 1913, at Carson, North Dakota. She was born with her twin sister Esther, one of 13 children born to John Sr. and Lydia Clara (Lutz) Scheerer. She grew up on a farm northwest of Carson and attended Carson Public School. Emilie married October 20, 1935, at Carson to Elmer Curtis Finck. This union was blessed with three children. The family lived at Heil for ten years where Elmer worked in the coal mine.
They purchased the Scheerer property in 1946, this was two and one half miles northwest of Carson. Here they farmed, ranched and raised their family. After the death of her husband, Emilie continued to lived on the farm with a son. Emilie enjoyed a variety of crafts along with a good cup of coffee.
In failing health for a few months, Emilie passed away May 27, 2009, in Jacobson Memorial Care Center.
Survived by her children and extended families as well as one brother and two sisters-in-law.
Emilie was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Esther; brothers, John Jr., Henry, Theodore, Edward and August Scheerer; and sisters, Lydia Moos, Louise Zimbelman, Olga Scheerer, Ida Sauter and Rose Karrow.
