Killinger Services Held Saturday -
Funeral services were held here Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church for John Dean Killinger, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Killinger, who accidently hanged himself while playing. Rev. Ernest Switzer officiated with the McIntyre-Jacobsen Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery. (Funeral details followed.)
John Dean Killinger, youngest son of Earl and Norma Killinger, was born April 30, 1942 near Fullerton at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zimmerle and departed this life at the home of his parents, northeast of Wolbach, May 26, 1954, at the age of 12 years and 26 days. Johnny lived all his life near Wolbach. He was baptized in the Trinity Lutheran Church by the late Rev. Harmon, and attended grade school at District 27 in Greeley County. One of his interests was playing the accordion, which he was very fond of doing. He was loved by everyone, which was evident by the large attendance at the services.
He leaves to mourn his loss his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Killinger; two brothers, Wayne and Gerald at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zimmerle of Fullerton and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. (List of out-of-town attendees followed.)
