Mary Kay Brown, 73, Hays, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Via Christi Village, Hays.
She was born Oct. 14, 1939, in Hays to Adolph H. and Helen W. (McGinty) Goetz.
She was a 1957 graduate of La Crosse High School and attended Fort Hays State College.
She married William "Bill" Brown on Aug. 4, 1958, in Hays.
She was a sales clerk at Hallmark and Kline's on The Mall. She also worked at Mayo's Pharmacy, Hays. She and her husband own and operate Tri-Central Office Supply in Hays During high school, she was a lifeguard and enjoyed swimming and ice skating, friends, family and grandchildren. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, William Kelly Brown, Atlanta; three daughters, Christy Werth and husband, Galen, Wichita, Jennifer Calvin and husband, Chris, Hays, and Lori Lang and husband, Mark, all of Hays; a sister, Phyllis Hooker, Hutchinson; a brother-in-law, Tom Greenway, Eudora; seven grandchildren, Joshua Werth, Ashley Calvin, Trevor Calvin, Kelsey Robben, Quincy Robben, Maggie Brown and Ben Brown; and her dog, Lucy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Becky Greenway. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601; private family inurnment will be at a later date. Family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary.
