Obituary Rudolph (Rudy) Stephen Dien 06/15/40 – 01/04/09 Born in California to Thelma and Stephen Dien in 1940, Rudy grew up in La Canada from the age of one until he married LouAnn Huntoon from Pasadena in 1961. They briefly resided in Pasadena before moving back to La Canada where they remained until Rudy retired in 2004. In 2005 Rudy and LouAnn moved to Colorado where they lived in his dream home, a log cabin in the mountains. Rudy was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was a genuine handyman who could fix anything. Rudy was a loving man, devoted to his family and friends. He was admired by many and will be missed by all. Rudy leaves behind his beloved wife of forty seven years LouAnn, his ninety two year old mother-in-law Marie Huntoon, his sister Susan and her family, his children Stephen, Scott, Sandra, Sarah and their spouses, his grandchildren Amber, Audrey, Mckynzee, Makala, Lucas, Maxwell and Charlotte and his many friends. A memorial service for Rudy will be held at 11am on Sunday the 11th of January, 2009 at Van de Kamp Hall within Descanso Gardens, 1418 Descanso Drive, La Canada Flintridge, CA 91011. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to: Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation www.rmef.org or 1-800-225-5355
