Darlene Schultz, 84, Neosho, Mo., died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at Joplin Health Care Center in Joplin, Mo. She was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Oberlin, Kan., to Fred and Grace (Sumner) Zimbelman. Mrs. Schultz moved to the Neosho area in 1955, from Kansas. She was a homemaker and owned and operated the Wildcat Drive-In for five years and Darlene's Beauty Shop for 15 years. She was a member of the Neosho First Christian Church and was active in the annual pie making fundraiser for the church. Darlene married John Jacob Schultz on June 4, 1944, in Goodland, Kan. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2008. She is survived by a son, Ron Schultz and wife, Marilyn, Joplin; a daughter, Darla Graue, Anderson; two grandchildren, Tisha Bowman and Justin Graue and wife, Julie, all of Neosho; three great-grandchildren, Carter and Lili Graue and Lindsey Bowman; and a sister, Reva Parrish, Adona, Ark. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Rogers; and a brother, Gary Zimbelman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at First Christian Church, Neosho, with Rev. Al Gritten officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery, Neosho. Honorary pallbearers will be Everett Bussey, Bob Swift, Leroy Locke, Jerry Fullerton, Herb Redding and Bill Spiva. Friends may call at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
