Services were held on Dec. 1 at Goes Funeral Home, Fort Collins, with the Rev. Steve Snow officiating. His final resting place will be with his beloved parents at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Gary was born Oct. 2, 1954, in Bismarck, to Benjimen and Lillian (Sauter) Albrecht. He attended Bismarck High School and Bismarck Junior College and was in the U.S. Navy. After an honorable discharge, he worked for Darby's Extermination. He resided in Bismarck most of his life, until he joined his brother, Roger, in Fort Collins four years ago. He enjoyed animals, training dogs, watersports, fishing and being with his family and friends. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Cassie Gettman, two granddaughters, Naomie and Alesabeth Gettman and his former wife, Renae K. Gettman, all of Greeley, Colo.; and his brother, Roger Albrecht, his nieces and nephews, Alex, LeeAnn and Alissa Albrecht and Cameron and Nicole Cain, all of Fort Collins. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjimen, in January 1976; and his mother, Lillian, in November 2008.
