Mrs. Jane Gaston, one of the oldest residents of this county, died at her home near Madrid Saturday morning, of the grip. The deceased was 76 years of age and had been ill about a month. Mrs. Gaston was formerly Mrs. Carmichael, and lived in Boonsboro for many years. One of her children is Mrs. L. Zimbelman. She leaves two other children. The funeral took place in this city Sunday afternoon and was largely attended especially by the old settlers.
