    One record says he was born in 1786. Another says he was born 18 Jan 1789. However, in the 1835 census, he is listed at Wernersdorf #7, and is listed there as 40 years old. He is also said to have come to Russia in 1803, and to have moved to Wernersdorf in 1826 from Lichtenau. He was the son of Johann Reimer. The entry for Lichtenau #23 says he moved away from there in 1826.

    In the 1808 census, he is listed at Fischau #3, and is said to have come from Pietzckerdorff, Prussia. If the ages and dates given are correct, it is likely at least his two oldest children were born to a previous wife. The 1835 census entry for Lichtenau #23 says he died there in 1819, and gives an age that indicates he could have been born abt 1772. He was the son of Johann Reimer.
