Rev. Burnell Pudwill, a grandson, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Walter Sukut. Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Pudwil died Feb 14 1968 at a Wagner Hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1888, to Jacob and Amelia Guthmiller in Bon Homme County. She was a member of the Danzig Baptist Church and lived in the Good Samartiian home at Wagner the past year. She married John Pudwill Feb. 8, 1906. Survivors are five daughters; Mrs. John (Edna) Seligman of Las Vegas; Mrs. Leroy (Viola) Walston of Chula Vista, Calif., Mrs. Byron (Lillian) Litz of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Ed (Elisie) Johnson and Mrs. Roland (Lorraine) Quartier of Avon; six sons; Otto, Herbert, James and Rowland of Avon, Norman of Hot Springs and John Jr., of Emery; one sister, Mrs. Charles pietz of Tripp; 36 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her husband and three children. | Guthmiller, Amelia (I151662)

Reinhold was born May 1, 1921 in Harold, South Dakota and moved with his family as a teenager to Washington after a brief stay in Idaho. He moved to Zillah in 1935 where he farmed with his brothers. Reinhold worked on the family farm until he was 88 before retiring due to health reasons. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Zillah. He is survived by his brother Leonard (Olive) Winckler and sister Marie Ravine of Zillah, sisters-in law Virginia Winckler of Zillah and Myra Winckler of Benton City and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Gottlieb and Christina Winckler, brothers Oscar and Harold Winckler, sisters Elsa Dewald, Emma Moser and Katherine Kunnanz. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 27th at the Zillah City Cemetery. Memorials may be given to charity of choice. She was of German decent born in Neu Danzig, Kherson, Russia. Her family was planning on coming to America but some of her siblings developed whooping cough and they could not leave. Katharina and her brother Joseph Pudwill came to America with her Step Mother's family 8 Jun 1907 SS Potsdam, Rotterdam, Holland to NY. On 28 Dec 1908 in Herreid, Campbell County, South Dakota she married Reinhold Miller and together they had Elsie Christine Miller 1911 – 1973 Ida C Miller 1912 – 1997 Lillian M Miller 1918 – Gerald Duwayne Miller 1929 – 1977 About Katharina Pudwill's Emmigration: Holland America Lines, Ship's Passenger List #31, SS Potsdam, from Rotterdam, Holland to New York, New York, 08 Jun 1907. It states that Katharina, aged 17, and her brother, Joseph, aged 15, both able to read and write, came from Russia, of German race, last permanent residence was Neu Danzig, Russia. They traveled with Christian and Katarina Auctenberg and 5 children (Johann, 10; Sophie, 9; Jacob, 6; Wilhelm, 3; and Rosine) Their destination was Eureka, South Dakota. The Auctenberg family had $65 and the Pudwill's had $10. They were all going to join the Heinrich Johann & Magdalena -Mary Pudwill-Edinger Family. Magdalena Mary Pudwill Edinger was a cousin of Christian Auctenberg and was a eldest sister to Katharina and Joseph Pudwill. In the Emmigration records, the Pudwill's appearance was fair complected, good health, and approximately 5 ft 5 in tall. Whereas Christian Auctenberg was pockmarked and his wife Katarina Auctenberg was blind in one eye. Katharina and Joseph Pudwill left Neu Danzig with the Auctenberg's by train to Lebi, Russia and then took a small boat to Holland, this portion of the trip took 3 days.
