Carolyn June Gemar, 74, of Fullerton, ND died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services, Aberdeen, SD.
Carolyn was born September 11, 1935 in LaMoure County, ND. She was the daughter of Theodore and Mildred (Cox) Wagner. She attended Wright Country School in Wright Township, ND and went to high school in LaMoure, ND. On October 19, 1952 she married Harold Gemar at St. Ansgar Lutheran Church in Fullerton, ND. Together they had six children. Carolyn and Harold lived on the Gemar farm which had been homesteaded by Harold’s parents.
Carolyn’s greatest commitment was to her family all of whom were witness to the dedication and love she shared and taught by example. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and everyone who knew her. Throughout her life she was a dedicated farm wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was actively involved in church activities, Ladies Aid, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher and Christian Women. Carolyn spent endless hours in the kitchen cooking and baking for family and friends. Her signature items were apple bars, cream puffs, rhubarb and peach pies, and caramel corn for the grandkids. She enjoyed doing ceramics, reading and doing yard work. Carolyn enjoyed very much being involved in her kids and grandkids school events.
Carolyn is survived by her husband Harold of 57 years; her children, Tim (Colleen) Gemar of Moorhead, MN, Gary (Kathy) Gemar of Couer d’ Alene, ID, Susan (Don) Heinz of Aberdeen, SD, Dennis (Janet) Gemar of Fargo, ND, Robert (Kathie) Gemar of Fullerton, ND; daughter-in-law, Tammy Gemar, Oakes, ND; fifteen grandkids and nine great grandkids (soon to be eleven); brothers, Daniel (Delores) Wagner of Oakes, ND, Newton, David and Roger Wagner of Oakes, ND; sisters, Alice Raatz of Oakes, ND, Lora Tischer of LaMoure, ND, Virginia (Floyd) Schmitz of Oakes, ND; sister-in-law, Orla Wagner of Oakes, ND. She is preceded in death by her son, Jayme Gemar; her parents and brothers, Virgil Wagner and Donald Wagner; brothers-in-law, Marvin Raatz and Bud Tischer.
The funeral for Carolyn will be held on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Oakes, ND, with Reverend Steve Olson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 3-7 pm with family present at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Oakes, ND, with a prayer service starting at 7:00 pm.

PRINCETON--Wilbur J. Pinter, 64, of 17 S. Dallas St., died Sunday afternoon in Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John Church on the Hill with the Rev. Wayne Derber officiating.
Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Tuesday in Jensen Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to his church or to the American Cancer Society.
Born April 24, 1923, in Spring Valley to John and Leona Walter Pinter, he married Roberta Krueger on Jan. 2, 1947, in rural Princeton.
He was a farmer in the Ladd area until 1974 when he moved to Princeton. He was employed by the Bureau County Highway Department and was a member of St. John Church on the Hill.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. John (Sandra) Wesson of Vernon Hills; three sons, Kenneth of Mundelein, Garry of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Larry of Springfield; one sister, Dr. Karen Pinter of Sterling; two brothers, Delbert Pinter of Ladd and Eugene Pinter of rural La Moille; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.

MALDEN--Eugene L. Pinter, 73, of Malden died at 4:30 a.m. July 30 in Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church on the Hill in rural Princeton. The Rev. Wayne Derber will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today in Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton.
Mr. Pinter was born July 7, 1921, in Zearing to John and Leona (Walters) Pinter. He married Lois Scriba on Jan. 13, 195.. in St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John Lutheran Church-on-the-Hill, rural Princeton. The Rev. Kenneth Halstead will officiate. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Peru City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Sunday in the Hurst Funeral Home, Ladd, and after 10 a.m. Monday in the church.
Mrs. Pinter was born June 4, 1900, in Westfield Township. She married John H. Pinter who died Jan. 9, 1974.
She and her husband farmed.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Pinter is survived by one daughter, Karen of Sterling; three sons, Eugene of rural La Moille, Wilbur of Princeton and Delbert of Ladd; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Powell of Mendota.
Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church-on-the-Hill.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth, Garry, Larry and Kevin Pinter, Dale Peters and John Wesson.

Elmer H. Pinter, 82, formerly of Cherry, died Monday, April 16, 1990, at Spring Valley Nursing Center, where he had resided since 1985.
Mr. Pinter was born Nov. 8, 1907, in Westfield Township to Jacob and Phillipena (Hahn) Pinter.He was a self-employed carpenter until he retired.
Services were at 2 p.m. April 18 at Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd, the Rev. Lloyd Kamps officiating. Entombment was in Peru City Mausoleum. Visitation was one hour preceding the funeral.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Earl (Rose) Gillan and one brother, LeRoy, both of rural Arlington, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother in infancy.

He farmed west of Cherry for many years. He was a member of the Cherry Congregational United Church of Christ.

Mr. Pinter died at 5:15 a.m. Nov. 22 in St. Margaret's in Spring Valley, where he had been a patient two days following an extended illness.

He was born in Selby Township May 29, 1914 to Henry and Elsie Nickel Pinter. He married Eileen Hahn Aug. 11, 1946, in the Zion United Church of Christ, Peru. He had served with the Army Air Force in World War II. He farmed in Bureau County, was self-employed as an electrical contractor and served as Ladd city electrician for 13 years until retiring 10 years ago. He was a member of the Cherry Congregational United Church of Christ, the Ladd American Legion, the Cherry Fire Department and the Van Orin Flying Club.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Bernie (Carolyn) Moore of Dimmick; two sons, Dean and Glenn, both of Cherry; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a brother, Perry Pinter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and a great-grandson.
