A.J. Fischer. Mrs. Bonnet had been ill for the last three months, her condition becoming critical recently. Death was caused by diabetis. Christina Bonnet, nee Zindler, was born Dec. 7, 1886 in Russia, a daughter of Mr. William and Johana Zindler. She came to the United States on Dec 7, 1906 settling at Anamoose. On March 8, 1908 she was united in marriage to Peter P. Bonnet at Harvey. They farmed in Prophets township from the time of their marriage until 1942, when they moved to McClusky to live in retirement. Christina and Peter were the parents of 11 children, 2 of whom preceded their mother in death. Mrs. Bonnet leaves besides her husband, the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Phillip Gehring (Martha), Lincoln Valley; Mrs Edwin Helm (Emma), McClusky; Albert Bonnet, Mercer; Walter Bonnet, McClusky; Reinhold Bonnet, Jamestown; Mrs. Ed Derheim (Ruth), Coleharbor; Otto Bonnet, McClusky; Mrs. Robert (Bob) Neuharth (Irene), McClusky; Theophil (Ted) Bonnet, Minneapolis; also one brother, William Zindler of Montana and 24 grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Grosz, Philip Voegele, Philip Hegel, Henry Kuch, A.J. Neuharth, and John Dockter. Burial was made in the McClusky city cemetery. Arrangements for the funeral were in charge of Berg Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Karl Schatz, A.J. Neuharth, Ben Dockter, Norman Lasher, Ellsworth Kenyor, and Morris Theile. He married Martha Docktor, June 30, 1924 at Ashley, North Dakota. Martha was born December 6, 1904, near Venturia, North Dakota to Jacob Docktor and Margaret (Stoecker) Docktor. Four children were born to them. One child, Leslie died in infancy and the living are: Virginia, Leah, and Myron Patrick. They lived at Hillsview until 1945, when they moved to the Roscoe area on the farm east of Roscoe known as the Adam Hofer farm. Due to well failure, the farm was moved to the present location where Myron now lives. Martha Lehr died September 23, 1953, at Roscoe. Emanuel married Helen (Opp), Mrs. Rudolph Fischer, September 10, 1955. Helen Ester was born at Leola, South Dakota October 28, 1911, to Daniel D. Opp and Katherina (Hoff) Opp. Helen has a son, Marshall. Mr. and Mrs. Lehr continued to live on the farm a couple more years, when they moved the school house that was four miles west of Roscoe to town and remodeled it for a house. Emanuel passed away March 29, 1993, and is buried next to Martha in the Roscoe Morningside cemetery. Mr. Goehring was a native of South Dakota and farmed there. He joined the Army during World War I. After the war, he moved to Acampo where he was also a farmer. He married Magdalena Schnaidt in 1926, while living in Lodi. She died in October 1967. In 1968, Mr. Goehring married Bertha Zimbelman and he also retired from farming. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 22, Lodi. In addition to his first wife, Magdalena Goehring, he was preceded in death by two brothers. Mr. Goehring is survived by his wife Bertha Goehring, of Lodi; two daughters, Darlene Bennett, of Woodford, Violet Rose Priest of Acampo; four brothers, Leonard Goehring, of Lodi, Ben Goehring, of South Dakota, Albert Goehring, of Iowa, and Edward Goehring, of South Dakota; four sisters, Bertha Mettler, of Lodi, Pauline Weicht, of Lodi, Martha Gamble, of South Dakota and Amelia Nuss, of South Dakota; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Zion Reformed Church of Lodi with the Rev. A.M. Guthmiller officiating. The American Legion Post No. 22 will officiate at Lodi Memorial Cemetery where interment will be held. Gierhart & Wells Funeral Directors are handling arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today and until 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Zion Reformed Church or to the American Heart Association in his memory. She grew up in the German colony of Gluecksthal, South Russia. She married Simon Schwind (also from Gluecksthal) at Klein Bergdorf, South Russia in 1878 Christina had three sisters Rose (Mrs. Fred Meidinger), Kathrina (Mrs. Joseph Brandner) and Elizabeth (Mrs. Frances Foerderer). She also had two brothers: John (who had three girls and one boy), and Henry. Her parents and her siblings came to America at the same time as she and Simon. The couple also brought their two oldest children, Christina and Kathrina. Christina and Simon had fourteen children in all. Three of them were born in Gluecksthal, but the first one, a daughter, only lived for about two months (Wishek Star, August 13, 1980).
