Katherine Matilda Grenz was born April 15, 1894 at Albany, daughter of Claus and Katharine Kotthoff Thiessen. She was married to John F. Grenz. on May 27, 1912. She died June 10, 1964 at her home in the Scravel Hill area.

Bev Adam, 71, 506 27th Ave. NW, Minot, ND, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Abott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
Beverly Ann Newman was born August 14, 1936, the daughter of Al and Laura (Storbeck) Newman in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1954.
Following her high school graduation, Bev worked for Northern States Power Company as a secretary for a short time.
Bev was married to Roland H. Baehm December 31, 1954, in Minot. From this union five children were born, Greg, Chuck, Roland "Skip", Todd and Kevin Baehm. The couple later divorced.
Throughout the 1970's, Bev did specialized baking for various businesses and people in Minot. She started employment in 1979, with the American Inn Hotel as a manager.
On January 10, 1981, Bev was united in marriage to LeRoy J. Adam in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where she was employed by the International Inn as the executive housekeeper. She worked there for 22 years and retired on December 7, 2007. LeRoy passed away December 7, 2007.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot, Minot Eagles Auxiliary, and was the president of her condo association.
Bev and LeRoy enjoyed spending their summers at their cabin at Mouse River Park. Bev enjoyed reading, puzzles, and visiting with family and friends.
Surviving family includes: sons, Gregory (Petra) Baehm, Chuck (Toni) Baehm, and Todd Baehm, all of Minot; daughter, Cheryl (Perry) Colebank, Fort Collins, CO; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy Adam; sons, Roland "Skip" Baehm and Kevin Baehm; step-son, Terry Adam; brother, Ralph Newman; sister, Donna Cree.
Funeral: Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Irene A. Remboldt, 90, Stockton, Calif, formerly of Jamestown, died Jan. 24, 2003.
A memorial service was held Jan. 28 at Zion Reformed Church, Lodi, Calif.
She was born Jan. 10, 1913. Mrs. Remboldt worked as an executive secretary to the administrator of the State Hospital for several years. She accepted a position of secretary to the Dean of Students at Jamestown College, from which she retired in 1977.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Archie Remboldt, Stockton; two daughters, Sharon Elhard, Galt, Calif., and Sandra Peterson, Lodi; two sons, Paul Remboldt, Vergas, Minn., and David Remboldt, Mandan; one sister, Mary Wehmhoefer, Bismarck; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Irene Alma Clark was born Jan. 10, 1913, in Courtenay, N.D., the daughter of Walter and Lillian (Zacharias) Clark. She grew up in Courtenay and Carrington, N.D. She graduated from Carrington High School. She married Archie W. Remboldt on Feb. 7, 1936, in Bismarck. In 1942 they moved to Jamestown. She worked as a secretary at the North Dakota State Hospital and then as a secretary at Jamestown College for 25 years. They moved to Stockton in 1979.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Elhard, Galt, Calif., and Sandi Peterson, Lodi, Calif.; two sons, Paul, Vergas, Minn., and David, Bismarck, N.D.; a sister, Mary Wehmhoefer, Bismarck; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services: held Jan. 28, Zion Reformed Church, Lodi.

Alvin Schochenmaier was born June 2, 1923 in Naper, Nebraska to Fred and Katie (Wuest) Schochenmaier. Alvin went to a country school not far from his parents place. He worked for Fred Thoene on his farm until he was called into military service on Apr. 18, 1945. He was honorably discharged on Dec. 13, 1946.
Alvin was united in marriage to Lila F. Stahlecker on Feb. 19, 1945. They were married 60 years on Feb. 19, 2009.
Alvin was a life member of the VFW Post #8256 at Naper, Nebraska.
Alvin is survived by his wife Lila of Naper, NE; one son, Doug (Sandy) Schochenmaier and their chilfren, Scott (Kay-fiance) and daughter Faith, Shawn (Heather), Jamie (Chris) and son Collen; two daughters, Marlis (Eric) Nelson and their children, Dr. Derek J. Nelson, Spec. Landon J. Nelson stationed at Red Cloud Army Base in South Korea; daughter, Diane (Dewey) Peterson and their children, Desarae (Nathan) Schubauer, Alyssa and Mason, Kristy Peterson, Cody Peterson; four great grandchildren; one brother, Aldrew (Marjory); two sisters, Ranatha (Bernard Burke, Anna Marie (Elmer) Cahoy; and three sisters-in-law, Amanda, Barbara and Francis Schochenmaier.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Katie; and four brothers, Henry, Herman, Raymond and Albert.

Ranatha Olinda (Schochenmaier) Burke of Bonesteel, SD passed away December 4, 2011 at the Butte Healthcare center at the age of 91.
Ranatha was born on October 28, 1920, one of nine children born to Katie (Wuest) and Fred Schochenmaier, at the family farm in northern Boyd County, Nebraska.
She attended school through the 8th grade and then went to work for Fred and Lilly Thoene, helping with the cooking and cleaning.
Ranatha was united in marriage to Bernard Burke on February 19, 1949. To this union 2 children were born: Bernita, whom died at birth and Terry. Bernard and Ranatha farmed by St. Charles until moving to Bonesteel in 1982.
Ranatha served as head of the St. Mary's altar society funeral committee for more than 20 years, a job she took pride in. Her 3 grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was always spoiling them with all her homemade goodies.
Ranatha went into assisted living and later to the Butte Nursing Home as her Alzheimer's progressed.
Ranatha is survived by her son Terry (Diane) of Bonesteel, SD; grandchildren: Ryan (Genevieve) of American Falls, ID; Jennifer (Cody) Krieger of Ft. Pierre, SD and Michael of St. Charles, SD. Also surviving her are her 2 great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Krieger of Sioux Falls, SD and John (JT) of Ft. Pierre, SD; a brother, Aldrew (Margie) Schochenmaier, a sister Anna Marie Cahoy, sisters-in-law: Lila Schochenmaier, Barbara Schochenmaier, Amanda Schochenmaier and Frances Schochenmaier and many nieces and nephews.
Ranatha has gone on to join her husband Bernard, infant daughter Bernita, brothers, Herman, Henry, Alvin, Albert, and Raymond Schochenmaier, her sister, Sarah Brown, sister-in-law, Amanda Schochenmaier, and sister and brother in law, Merrill (Hammie) and Berniece Hermsen.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bonesteel. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Bonesteel. There will be a rosary on Tuesday at 7:30 PM at the Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to both services at the Church.
