He is survived by one son, Stanley, Coos Bay, Ore.; two daughters, Verna Schreiner, Wishek, and Linda Meier, Strasburg; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Maggie Steinert, Bismarck, and Pauline Wagner, Linton.

Esther Helen Baldock, 87, Hatton, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, in Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks, N.D.
Esther Sayler was born April 8, 1918, near Burnstad, N.D. In September 1942, she married James Baldock in Hillsboro, N.D. They lived in Oklahoma and Texas. They then lived near Valley City, N.D., and Osnabrock, N.D. In 1958, they moved near Hatton. They moved into Hatton in 1996. He died in 1998.
In 2004, she entered St. Anne's Guest Home, Grand Forks. In 2005, she entered the nursing home.
She is survived by 3 sons, 4 daughters, 1 brother, 3 sisters, 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Wednesday at 2 in the funeral home.
Burial: Northwood (N.D.) City Cemetery

OBITUARY of Harold ACKERMAN –
Harold joined the Ackerman family in 1930 and his growing years were spent attending school and helping with the family farm.
He graduated from Wishek High School in 1947. He recalls many pleasant experiences such as hunting, trapping, boating in a boat built by his father, and raising Shetland ponies.
In 1951 he married Delores SPRECHER of Elgin, North Dakota, after which they lived in California for a two-year hitch in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
In 1954 he went to work for the Boeing Company at Wichita Kansas. In 1963 the company moved the family to their Helicopter Division in Philadelphia. His work involved quality control in the Boeing aircraft builds.
Harold and Delores were the parents of two children. Harold Ackerman died on the 7 July 2002.

Martha GALL born 3 March 1917 in Wishek, McIntosh County, North Dakota was the daughter of Henry GALL Sr. and Katherina SAYLER.
Martha married Harold J WIECZOREK on the 24th of September 1937 in McIntosh County, North Dakota. This union was blessed with 6 children.
OBITUARY:
Martha GALL was born on a farm a few miles from Wishek, ND on March 3, 1917. She was the youngest daughter of Henry and Kathryn (Sayler) GALL. Martha was united in marriage to Harold J. WIECZOREK September 24, 1937, and there were six children born of this union.
Martha and Harold farmed near Parkston, South Dakota and in 1961 moved to Springfield, SD. After many years as a farm wife, Martha joined the working force outside the home. Martha worked for 23 years at the University of South Dakota at Springfield in the dietary department. She then worked for 7½ years at Casey's General Store in Springfield making donuts and pizza dough. She was well-known for her homemade noodles and wedding cakes that went to four different states.
When Martha and Harold retired they moved to Yankton, South Dakota. Martha was an active member in the Rebeccas for 50 years and in numerous church activities.
Her memory is cherished by her five daughters. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; one son, Donald; two sons-in-law: Ross Davisson and Jim Gran; one grandson, Robert Scherer; one grandson-in-law, Kurt Nelson; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Schoenfelder; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Funeral service for Gideon Goehring, 94, of Ashley will be 10:30 am, Monday, October 7, 2013 at Ashley Baptist Church. The Rev. Chris McLaughlin will officiate.
Burial in Ashley City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 7-8:30 pm with a prayer service at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
Gideon died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Ashley Nursing Home.
Gideon Goehring, son of Christian J. and Magdelena (Schauer) Goehring was born December 22, 1918 near Long Lake in McPherson County, SD. He completed his education in a country school in Bergdorf District.
He was united in marriage to Ida Bertsch on October 27, 1946 at Bertsch Station Baptist Church. They developed a farm about a half mile east of the home place, raising livestock and small grains and farming with Gideon's brother, Albert. They were active members, including Gideon as pianist, in the German Baptist Church of Jewell, until it closed in 1958. They then began attending Ashley Baptist Church. Ida died November 3, 1961.
Gideon then married Edna Grueneich on December 28, 1962 in Underwood Baptist Church at Underwood, ND. Gideon's son, Jim joined him full-time in farming in 1977. In May of 2010, Gideon suffered an injury and then moved into the Ashley Nursing Home.
Gideon loved to play the piano and was blessed with the ability to play by ear. He would entertain guests in his home whenever he could. Gideon was a member of Ashley Baptist Church, singing in the mixed choir, men's chorus, men's quartet as well as being an accompanist. He was a member of the Board of Trustees and Men's Brotherhood.
Gideon is survived by his wife, Edna; one son, James (Joy) Goehring; one daughter, Geraldine (Larry) Weisser; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
His parents, first wife, Ida, one brother, Albert and three sisters, Emma Heupel, Ida Bertsch and Esther Hartman preceded him in death.
Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley has been entrusted with arrangements.
