Lilly was born October 28, 1923 in Plevna, MT. She lived and worked the family farm in Plevna with her parents and four brothers until marrying Albert, March 16, 1946 in Roundup, MT. They began their life together working on the family farm with Albert's parents, Alec and Emilia Wall Adolph, three brothers and a sister. They had two sons while in Roundup. Wayne in 1947, now living in Billings, MT and Dale in 1948, now living in Idaho Falls, ID. They moved to Shepherd, MT after purchasing a farm/feedlot of their own. Later they moved to Pompeys Pillar, MT where they had their home place and two other farms. They had two daughters while in Pompeys. Eileen was still born in 1957 and Marlene Adolph Chabot, born in Billings in 1960, now living in Tucson. They retired from farming in 1966 and moved into Billings, where they both worked for Eastern MT College. Albert's mother lived with them in Pompeys and then in Billings helping by taking care of Marlene while they worked. Lilly's mother visited often and stayed to help during the harvest and canning seasons. Hard work was no stranger to Lilly and she enjoyed working right beside Albert. In 1989 Albert was diagnosed with cancer. In 1990 they sold their home in Billings and moved to Tucson to be closer to Marlene and Wayne. Albert passed away October 21, 1993, leaving Lilly on her own after 47 years of being as one. Lilly remained in their home in Tucson for 20 years till her health failed and Marlene and Dave Chabot moved her to Broadway Proper in 2013, then St. Catherine's Home, and then in October 2014 she moved to Ella's House, The Groves where she was in the caring hands of The Soulistic Hospice Program and Marlene and Daves constant company. Lilly had a very healthy full life, her days were filled with taking care of her flowers and trees that she and Albert had planted, listening to country western music, and watching her favorite TV programs. She loved baking and cooking for her family especially during the holidays. Lilly always kept God close to her and after she no longer drove to the Lutheran Church she continued her worshiping by spending many hours watching and listening to her favorite religious programs on TV. Family was always the most important thing to Lilly and she enjoyed many long telephone conversations with those who were not close by. We will all greatly miss Lilly but she has left her children their children and many nieces and nephews with the knowledge that hard work and honesty with bring you a long happy and healthy life. Sunday was a very special day for Lilly, it was her day to worship the lord, she was born, gave birth to her daughter Marlene, passed away and will be buried all on a Sunday.
